Default Brass Inserts

I don't have an XR, but since i stared selling 4-40 inserts for the losi axles and tranny i've received numerous requests for a m3 insert.

I can offer two versions but i'm wanting to get confirmation that they'll fit...

One of them is the same as my current 4-40 insert. They are self tapping inserts and they require a 11/64" hole .25" deep...these have superior holding/clamping power compared to expansion inserts, but they are abit bigger than the expansion inserts you guys use, so i'm just wondering how well they fit...here's the 4-40 inserts, they are the same external size, just a different internal thread
Products - OverkillRC

I can also get basically the same thing as the mcmaster expansion inserts (Not Ez-lock brand though) 5/32" hole 3/16" deep.

Let me know how well they'll fit, and if you'd be interested in some.

Default Re: Brass Inserts

I THINK they may be too long. It's been awhile since I did this mod but if I remember right...there were a few holes that were close to getting blown with the EZ LOCKS.

So in short....I dunno man. Sorry.
