Default CreationFab RD1 Carbon Fiber Bodiless MOA Chassis!

So I figured I would offer these up to those that want em. This chassis was designed by myself and TheSCorpionKing. It is an original design by the 2 of us.

These chassis will be HAND MADE until I have enough interest to have them CNC cut. So they will have variances from chassis to chassis. If you want a nice CNC cut chassis, I suggest you get ahold of Y-Town Crawlers or Chaotic Crawlers. I do take my time to make sure that all pieces are in good working order, and there are no strength flaws. Please understand that I am not a machinist by trade. Just making goods for the RCC folks out of my garage.

With that said, These chassis can be made with a few custom touches if you like for a nominal charge. The double sheer upper link mounts that are part of the cab will NOT be included in this version. They are too difficult to get straight by hand. I can do them for an additional charge. See the below pic with the double sheer mounts highlighted.

Chassis will take 2-3 weeks turn around time depending on my work load. This is a side thing for me, so my normal 9-5 job making some voltage comes first. I do my best to get orders out quickly, but sometimes life circumstances make things take a little longer.

See the below link for prices and ordering info

The chassis looks nice Chris, I don't see how you have the time to do all that you do. Is your bed in the garage??????????

Hahaha, it probably should be. Then the misses would be able to sleep all the way through the night without me coming in at the wee hours and waking her up

I just hate not having something to keep me busy, so I always like to have too much to do.

Couldn't you just bolt the topper and side plates together using the upper holes(without using the spacers), and then drill the upper link holes?

Thing is fantastic! The last bit of my parts I need to get to roller status should arrive within the week

Those lads who designed this thing seem to know what they are doing

Not sure how yer tiny arms can reach but you sure are good at patting that back of yers.

On a serious note...chassis looks pretty groovy. Gotta name yet? I sent some suggestions to Trav.

Thats what I did on this one, but it was difficult to do on a drill press. But my new mill should be here tomorrow, so perhaps it will be easier on that. I just want to do it with a certain level of quality in mind, so I don't want to send just anything out the door.

If I can get the process down well enough, then perhaps I will make em with the double sheer.

I am not planning on running it. My truck works too well to mess with. Plus, I am a bodied guy. Cant bring myself to run a bodiless more than a couple packs, then I have to take the cab off, and put my body on lol.

2.4oz is rather impressive.

Is it with aluminum/titanium hardware?

Oh, then I'm even more impressed. I was going to suggest there's room to shave some weight off but I think it's better to leave it as it is then.

Agreed. There is definitely areas that could stand to be thinner/skinnier, but at what cost to reliability? Being hand made makes it a little more difficult to get a replacement

I'm sure once a few of these get out there and a little more demand is generated, a "mass production" run would definitely allow for some trimming of the fat
