Default after market chassis

Is someone really going to see a benefit for this mod just starting out in comp crawling.

Most aftermarket chassis are better then the stock one. If you've already beefed the axles and have the electronics/tires/wheels you want then the next logical step would be a better chassis.

Plenty of guys KILL it with the stock chassis. Do the after market chassis' improve your rig...yup. Will you notice it outta the gate being new? Not likely.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to keep it stock for a bit. That will help get it up and running quicker.

TBH I wouldn't mind trying any of the chassis available out there.

Price though is the killer and for that reason alone I'm staying stock. Besides, I'm still at the point where I need to improve my driving first.

^^thats my approach too. I have my xr10 roller built and have decided that I want to master that chassis first so that as I upgrade, I can see marked improvement or degradation based on each upgrade. That way I can REALLY dial in and narrow down what each upgrade adds and takes away from my rig.

I still run the stock chassis and it works well for me. Eventually I'll go to something else but I'm not in any hurry. The things I have done like beefed up gears, links, wheels/tires and electronics have made more of an improvement then just a chassis swap would imo.

I really liked my stock chassis set up very well balanced set up. I have moved on to different things but have just recently help a buddy set up an xr with stock chassis and he has run t1e beetlejuice the whole lot and says the stock xr set up feels better than all the others. So its really up to you id say get used to the stock chassis it can teach you alot about tuning then from there if you feel you need something different then do it.
