Default Chaotic links stock chassis...

I just received my links and started installing them last night. It turns out that I had two rear upper pairs in the package and no front uppers. These links are the same bend but one pair is about 5mm longer than the other. I figured the shorter pair should go on the rear??? Also, it turns out that after drilling a couple of the stock ends to fit, the end splits a bit. I'd like to install some 4mm ends but both revo and jato ends appear to be straight and not bent like the stock ones are. How are you using these straight rod ends? Is it just as simple as turning them around until everything lines up? It's hard to visualize without installing them. Thanks for any advice...

Jay.

I can't guarantee you wont have any binding issues but, revo's and jato's can handle way more angle than the stock rod ends so I'd think you be fine with them.

I have a BWD wedge chassis and upgraded all my rod ends revos and jatos and they have way more adjustability even though their straight, and much stronger now too.

Good luck!

I'm assuming the Jato ends were used where you needed longer ends, and the Revo ends where you needed shorter ends?

Anyone have any insight on the upper link sizes? From what I've seen in Chaotics' post about these links, the front and rears should be the same size, where mine aren't... I did post in that thread but haven't received any replies yet.

Yes jayrat. I used revos where i could and cut the jatos down to size where needed.

A big bonus to cutting your own lengths is you can clock your axles more for a bit more motor clearance. Either lengthen the top or shorten the bottom. Depending on your desired wheel base.
