Default Ant's XR10!

So after convincing the wife that I'll just buy the XR10 kit and slowly build it up... A week ago... I have finished it and got it crawling! Oops sorry dear!

Anyways it's fairly stock at the moment and I'm waiting for some parts to arrive.

Ant's XR10 specs:

Sanwa MT-4
Hitec 7955tg
External bec
Novak M2 dig (already hate this and replacing when I get more funds)
Vanquish bent upper and lower titanium links
Vanquish titanium steering link.
Ax10 wheels (wider offset) to clear the shock rub...but looking for something better..
Axial carbon battery plate.

So far I'm loving how this thing crawls. Its surprising what it'll get over!

Im really hanging for a new esc setup but not sure which way to go. Ive always been a tekin fan but I'm happy to try something else as long it's not stickers as Novak lol

Pics were taken on the maiden crawl when I had the 1258tg servo fitted...which isnt suited for crawling but all I had. The wiring isnt crash hot as im still waiting on my carbon plate so I know where I will be mounting everything so ive kept the wires long. I have just fitted the rear links and what a difference it made!

Rest of the hardware should be here in the next few days hopefully!

Great start and you will be upgrading that thing to how ya want it on no time!!! As far as esc's go I run the dual fxr's that I decased and made smaller to save weight and space. I want to try dual sidewinder micro's. i think that you can't go wrong with either set-up!!!

I ran 2 FXR's and recently changed to Mamba Micro Pro's. Tekins are super smooth but the hold brakes on the Castles are crazy strong. Either one would be a great choice. Never thought i'd change from Tekin, but the Castles are very very nice.

Thanks guys!

I'm really enjoying how it crawls stock so I can imagine how it'll be with some upgrades!

Does anyone have a link/picture of the cc micros setup?

Also, should I be concerned that my 7955tg gets warm during light crawling?

You can also use the Sidewinder Micro for an even smaller footprint than the Mamba Micro Pro's. I've used the Sidewinder Micros with no issues the hole season.

The ESC's will connect to 2 different channels in your receiver and you will probably want to connect the power wires for the battery on your 2 ESC's red to red and black to black for easier power supply from the battery.

If your BEC is giving power to your receiver, you disconnect the red wires on both ESC's going to the receiver. If your BEC powers your servo directly, you need to have one of the ESC's provide power to the receiver and disconnect the red wire on the other ESC.

Thanks for the pic! What do you do with the white motor wire on the esc's? Just un solder it?

You can unsolder it, cut it short or leave it long for later use and put a piece of shrink wrap on it.

I'm not familiar with Castle gear... But do I need to program them for brushed setup?
