Thanks camo

shaved boss claws all round

front: 119grams
ytown glue on wheels 850 hubs C.I DD foams closed cell inner soft outer w/ med tune ring

rear: 120grams
ytown glue on wheels 725 hubs C.I DD foams closed cell inner medium outers

My motors are back after being rebuilt by hulksta, first item on the list was to stop the lathed cans forming surface rust again, fixed this with some clear nail polish.

Whilst browsing RCC I came across the mod Robbob did to his VP highsteer arm to reduce the servo horn throw and still get full travel so i have done this.

Also changed up my skins to some .25mm blue carbon fibre sheet i picked up a few weeks back.

last changes that have been made were a few SS screws changed to Ti ones and also the Al hollow balls being used to space out my upper links at the chassis end are now replaced by axial plastic balls out of my exo kit.

some pics of the steering

It was the axial lightweight version, it was pretty bound up when I heard the pop.

I'm using the chaotic bent tiered at the moment, but it is a touch long and is giving me more toe in then I would like, I have a Nordic crawler tiered here I am going to try when the front diff goes back together.

So a small update:

My new final output gear arrived through the week so I got that fitted up, I got my chaotic bent tierod changed out for the Nordic crawler tierod.

I also have changed out the brxls for a pair a smashed micro sidewinders installed on a rowdy electrics tray

I also had some 3/16 al tube show up so I can make some chassis cross braces and maybe try it out as links.

So today the postie was very friendly and dropped off these

Here is a comparison with the vanquish VVDS

Had a great day on Sunday at the last (my first) cANZ round only a few casualties, my front motor sav'r snapped off so new ones have been ordered, and after chatting to hulksta I have ordered some alum scx10 shocks to replace the big bores.

This is the weight difference in the stubby and a 45t fully lightened brood vapor

I have also changed to micro sidewinders and possibly plan on going back to 3s batteries as the 4s is rough on my motors

Brxls and cc bec

Micros and bec

Final touches getting ready for Sunday a new tires and changing the shock oil to something alittle heavier weight

Last cANZ comp was a real blast, this truck drove really well ( the nut with the controller was the issue).

I haven't done a huge amount to it since the comp, I was given the opportunity to try some new cf parts and test there strength

First is a new 2mm servo mount

I ran into problems with my servo mount location on the vp upper link mount so for now I have butchered this mount but should have a new designed one for the comp.

Second is this front arm on the steering

It is the same hole spacing as my long vp arm that was redrilled I believe it is 3mm cf.

Other than these two things the only changes have been Ti screws in the front to hold the arms to the knuckles as I had one arm come loose on pro3 last comp.

Looking forward to another great comp next weekend in Sydney :happydance:

Oh I also picked these up last night, not too sure what they will make an appearance on yet

The rear ring has a few extra speed holes (hey Dan)

I couldn't recommend KK enough if you are looking for skins of any type

I got my motors freshened up last weekend by Dan, and he convinced my to rewire the car with 20g wire too the motors, I have also changed the middle of the vp gearboxes out for the stock plastic pieces and gave the boxes a freshen up.
I used brass inserts on the plastic pieces

The custom battery mount plate I use was tapped into the vp case, this was my solution in the plastic case: a flanged insert

I also have some 2 mag brood stubby cans coming for my motors and some krawlerkonceptz skins on the way.

this was the rtr weight on the weekend:
So that brings this thread upto date, i have some more part coming for this and am going to do some tuning with no added weight at all.
