Wiil the VP bushings work with the Axial HD motorplate?

Just checking will the Vanquish XR10 Transmision Bronze Bearing kit work with the Ax30787 Axial Heavy Duty Gear Plate Hard Anodized XR10? Is there a less expensive alternative?

I already have the HD motor plates, I got the axles used and the bearing are about done.

The Axial motor plates use 9mm bearings so the VP bushings will not work.

For the price of the VP bearing kit you could pick up a whole new motor plate with 10mm bearings in it.

I did this front and rear on my crawler and i'm very happy with the results. Has held up great so far.

Pretty sure they are 8mm.

The bronze kit was a quick fix for when the xr-10 just came out. The 8mm bearings were blowing putting bearings into the case and doing more damage. The bearing bronze material we used was a tru bronze. A huge difference to the casted bronze that tamiya and traxxas is selling. The bronze is prob better than bearings. Since for one it will never just fail. You would have to put a lot of drive time on them to begin to see wear.

Mine are two years old, still tighter than new bearings. All stock everything else, tried to break it, just bent the links until the front tires and back tires touched. No inserts, shims, plates, cases, gears or squat. Greased once about two months ago, gears look new.

X2. Just replace the 5x9 bearings if they are done.
