Thanks Lizard. yeah they are the stock Xr shock mounts and offer 4 mounting locations. I would have made the front mount also but I butchered the first set, If not cut and fit just right they can lay down causing axle wrap. What I found best was to cut them to long and hand file to fit, any gap between the riser and tranny case causes the mount to move under load and wraps the axle in the links. Thanks for a great low budget mod. |

Now I'm looking for the new Calderwood upper link mount in V2 style this looks like a good solution for my rear axle And Yesterday I also mounted the new carbon fiber weight holders, with 20 grams each side. I'm not sure that's enough, I'm waiting for the thick rings to do other tests with more weight if anyone has any suggestions or tips are welcome |

Just to try..see what mounting the links to the lowest points on both axle and chassis does for you. Im at the stock location on the front axle and second hole up on a VP rear mount with the links at the lowest hole on the chassis and it has been a pretty flawless setup for me.

here I am again! in this period I have driven a lot my Agent to be able to get the necessary feeling with the car for the first race here in Italy! I haven't made important modifications since last time. mainly I've worked on weights and shock, new oil, Losi pink springs on the front and red springs in rear. I also got a set of Titans rear drive shafts but I will install them after the race. here some shots in one of my favorite spots Here we see the judge a little distracted Sunday we will see if it works well |

I am back with impressions from the event. a little late, but this weekend I was busy to prepare a scale comp A really good race with the Swiss team as a special guest. after 2 stupid mistakes in the first course, the race started in the right direction! after all not bad result for me and my agent, I took fourth place behind Racer_zh, Farmertom and Maxcrawler. Quote:
that's all for now, soon I'll put more pictures of the new shock set up that I'm trying and other small jobs. greetings from italy Gabriele | |

another race weekend in Italy, but the podium remains the same fever has not surely helped my run, but apart the first course where I took a TNT at last door I'm satisfied about my race! definitely my chassis setup is proved too high, and with the new shoes some modifications are certainly required before the next race! congratulations again to the top drivers! Now back to work! soon more updates |
