We had extremely difficult conditions in this competition.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...5/P1010184.JPG
Wet, dark and cold.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...5/P1010189.JPG
Sofi didn't have her best day on the rocks. This first course went ok, but second and third were something too hard this time.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...5/P1010192.JPG
It began to rain after the first course and these rocks were extreme to drive on. We even had to cancel the last course, cause it would have been too dangerous to drive it.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...5/P1010194.JPG
Sofi was able to pull fourth position this time. Well, I have to be honest and say, it would have been difficult for any driver. Me included. :flipoff:

<iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Sh5-oDX9Ebk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Here is the first course. Everything went well till the nineth gate, where Sofi got bit frozen. Well, finished performance in any case. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/TULOKSET/Crawling...kkuj%e4rvi.jpg
Here are the results. With this fourth position Sofi managed to secure the third spot in RFOT's Crawl Cup 2015. Well done Sofi! "thumbsup"

Now it's time to forget this comp and start focusing mentally for EuroCrawl. Some training will be done there on thursday, but I think the preparation have been really good for it so far. "thumbsup"

Love those purple shoes ;)

New season is just behind the next corner! Time to prepare Smurfette for another season! "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/IMG_0841.JPG
I made pretty good service for it before EuroCrawl, so basic screw tightening should do the trick this time. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/IMG_0842.JPG
Comp will be arranged in Lahti, the legendary Bunker. Annual season starting and this time there will be two guys challenging from Norway and one from Estonia! "thumbsup" Ten drivers on the line, so I'd think top seven performance would be realistic and good goal for the comp. Let's see how it will turn out. 8)

Here is the link for live scoring. Scores will start rolling from 10AM CET tomorrow. Should be a good battle! "thumbsup"

First comp of 2016 is behind! 8)

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010205.JPG
The location was fierce Bunker, which really isn't the easiest place to start the season. Courses were really tricky as always in the Bunker. Sofi wasn't able to finish any of the four courses, but neither did many other drivers.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010210.JPG
For example these stairs are insanely slippery. :flipoff: There was few good gates for Sofi in the comp, but the final performance really didn't show that. Well, you have to start the season from somewhere and we surely had lot's of fun in that day! :lmao:

<iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZNfIR8duv2Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Here is the second course on video. I think this was Sofi's best performance of the day. Not too many drivers made it to gate eight. "thumbsup" With good driving in the first half of the course she secured the points to carry on till gate eight.

http://paron.pp.fi/TULOKSET/Crawling...016%202.2m.jpg
This competition really was survival. Those who were able to finish courses were in the top spots.

It was ok season start for Sofi and the most important thing is just keep on driving. Long breaks will effect badly on the consistancy of driving. Next competition will be held on the end of this month. That'll be outdoors, so we will finally get back on business. "thumbsup"

Re: Axial XR-10 a.k.a Smurfette

Finally time to update this topic.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010307.JPG
The outdoor season in Finland started few weeks back.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010311.JPG
Sofi was able to attend and here she is starting the course two.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010312.JPG
On the first course she made it exactly to the same points as everyone else. +22. The last gate turned out to be nearly impossible.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010316.JPG
On this second course Sofi managed to gather safe points and continued on good level.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010318.JPG
Few trickier gates here and there, but mainly basic stuff.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010322.JPG
No chages from the last season. It's purely just to get to know the rig properly.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010323.JPG
I had massive problems on this gate, but Sofi made it look really easy.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010324.JPG
In third course Sofi was on the way to safe points, but on the drop down to finish she hit two gates and that basically was too big setback for the cautious tactic that she was using.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010327.JPG
Fourth course was ok, but nothing fancy.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010328.JPG
Good start for the season and some learning on the way. "It's never over until all four tires have passed gate ten!" :flipoff:

<iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/elmuhh8v3tg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Here is the fourth course on video. These kind of performances was to be seen on the comp from Sofi.

http://paron.pp.fi/TULOKSET/Crawling...016%202.2m.jpg
Last position, but with some pretty good drivers involved. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010381.JPG
Beautiful sunset made the day complete and now we start waiting for the next comp, which in Sofi's case will be just after three weeks. 8)

Looks like it needs to be called the Sarka Series..... hahaha

Re: Axial XR-10 a.k.a Smurfette

Sorry for being this late with all the updates on this. Just been way too busy to even think updating these topics. However there has been two more comps with Smurfette since the last update. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010240.JPG
First was in early May at Vantaa. Probably the location of 2017 Nordics. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010243.JPG
Sofi drove a typical competition to her. Two good courses and two below the average.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010245.JPG
Rig is still working fine, allthough new pullers have crossed in my mind. :flipoff:

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010250.JPG
She'd just need to do more practise comps like this one.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010252.JPG
The courses on this competition were harder than average to be brutally honest, so Sofi drove quite much on her level there.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010369.JPG
Location is really cool and I can't wait to see some more comping in there.

<iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/UzHha3KupWw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Here is the first course on video. This was one of the good and finished performances. There was couple of places where you can really learn throttle control.

http://paron.pp.fi/TULOKSET/Crawling...232%202.2m.jpg
Fourth place after an average comp is really good. "thumbsup"

Next up would be the first Finnish Series competition in Lappeenranta.

Re: Axial XR-10 a.k.a Smurfette

Week after RFOT's Crawl Cup 2016 Comp 2, it was time to head to finnish eastern border, Lappeenranta.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010031.JPG
First round of Finnish RC Crawling Series were held in there on May.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010373.JPG
Here is Sofi starting the almost impossible course four.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010376.JPG
This time there was a good participation in terms of the drivers. Twelve starters in the line.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010378.JPG
Yet again Sofi had two courses finished and two DNF's.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010380.JPG
This course was DNF for almost the whole pack though.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010382.JPG
On the first course it was only a matter of seconds for Sofi to reach the finishing line.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...6/P1010384.JPG
But it was not enough. Another average comp with two really good performances kept Sofi right in the middle of the pack. She just needs that final step! 8)

<iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/K30YjadtM4Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This is the second course on video. Really good to see all the talent and tactic eye making way on one course. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/TULOKSET/Crawling...231%202.2m.jpg
Seventh position of twelve driver field. A-v-e-r-a-g-e. :flipoff:

Next comp is on 23rd of this month in Jämsä. The third round of Finnish RC Crawling Series. It has been almost two month break since Sofi drove last time, so we hope good performances will be still in reach.

Re: Axial XR-10 a.k.a Smurfette

last video. second gate... impossible to go straight through?

looks like it might be easy with front dig after you get the wheels up. just wondering.

First guys tried that, just couldn't get the tires high enough to get the grab.
