Default Crawlinghulls CCC pitbull

Well the Mantis held up well and performed great at worlds but she broke her tail the following week... so... with the inspiration from Force 5 and BCbrian and the awesome parts from RCbros, Rpp, and ClassiCutCutomsI've built a Pinball

This is just the mock up build, Rock Island is hosting a comp tomorrow so we'll see how she runs before the build really begins

RCbros egressor shocks are the bomb!!!! And so far the chassis is doing everything I want

4pounds 2.5oz

No! Not the Mantis!!!
As much as I hate to see a Mantis drop dead, I must say you couldn't of got a nudge from 2 better guys, in the right direction...
Welcome to the CCC side of things!

My mini Mantis took ill as well.. A mini CCC took over in her place as well. ;)

But... What's a CCC "Pinball".. Lol... Nice fire " Pit" ... Btw... I see rocks to crawl!!!

I know ur use to the torsion, 2 shock, side of things.. (It's a tuff one to get away from). With a comp coming up, may I suggest laying ur rear shocks down some?
It should give you a less "forced" articulation and better vertical climbing.. (Unless you have crawled with it and like it)

I laughed when I saw that. after the comp I started playing with different shock lengths and laid the shocks down two positions.

i'll get some pics up in a bit

Btw there were only three of us that braved the winds but the pitbull survived the day and took the win.

Minor changes since the comp, Did a shock cap mod on the scx caps and changed both shock angles - I need to experiment with shock wt, running 35 all round.

Also added aluminum ball ends and form the first time in my 9 + years of crawling,.... Knuckle weights (RCBros!!)

tipping the scales at 4 lb 2.5 oz

Well it is official! She's a runner, more like a sprinter. The motors are amazing, i'm sure other motor makers do fine work, but these things are sick
13t Crawlmasters!.
The RCBros springs are butter, its like they were made to crawl

I really loved my Mantis but this is at another level. some picks from the day.

Woke up this morning at 3:30 with a memory of dialing back my throttle EPA's???? Came out to the kitchen, flipped on the Futaba and holy s*** yup had it set at 80%. Think I might leave it for now. I really can't get over these motors. One question- I'm running 35c 3 cell with 14 tooth pinions?? should I have any concerns??

Lol.. Nice!!!
I think it's awesome to see you so excited about the motors!

The motors will handle it just fine.. I always ran 14t pinions on 3s in my XR.
I ran for hours on ends a couple times a week and only 3 packs a day the other days.. Never a issue.. (Some of my packs where 65-130c too)

Lots of tweaking with the radio, think I finally got that straight. lowered the ride ht, added a small amount of weight on the rear and added one more of those sweet Dux aluminum cross braces (replaced the two nuts that held the shock mounts). Really stiffened the rear shock mount

I have not seen a ton of the new wheel design around yet. Thanks for posting pictures of them, I really like that design if I were ever to go back to a normal style wheel.

Glad youre liking the aluminum cross braces. I remember when switched all my delrin ones out and the huge difference it made. I know I could not be forced to go back to delrin but I do like the magic wand cross braces too.
