After searching all night all I could find were blue monkey and RC bros knuckle weights for xr knuckles. My question is are there any weights recommended for the axial xr knuckles?

They all need to hang on the classic VP Wraith knuckles from my experience. I have my axles in the For Sale right now. They have RC Bros hangers and Dlux weights on VP Wraith Knuckles. It's a beautiful thing and completely transforms the XR10 into a much more capable machine.

Oh okay thanks for the heads up. The blue monkey claim to work with stock xr ones but not so sure if they just sit there or what

Don't know. I modded my plastic ones to use different steering arms back when I first got it but there was still no way to stick weight on them. Maybe someone with the Blue Monkey weights will chime in.

Blue Monkey will hang on stock plastic or Axials aluminum knuckles ....... RCBros will hang on the VP Wraith and XR knuckles..... DLux has his own design that is vehicle specific with many options.... Krazed Builds make a setup that can be used with RCBros brackets on VP knuckles |

Okay thanks. I may just try the blue monkey. I only need a little more weight up front. Got a deal on the axial alum c's and knuckles so I'm trying to just run em

if you are going to use a 1.9 wheel...be for-warned that the RC-Bros won't fit most 1.9 beadlocks...they were made for 2.2 wheels. I managed to dremel out the inside of a set of TSS 1.9 wheels and get them to work....didn't take much but they needed to be sanded down a bit. I don't know about the Blue Monkey brand though. Are you getting an XR Adam? Or doing the XR-mod to an scx axle? |

Xr mod is already done. Just needs a little more weight up front. And I gotta shave the foams down a bit

I got rid of the 2 piece design which had a knuckle wrapped in a weight. I now build a knuckle that has it all in one. It has bigger bearings than stock, which is MUCH needed, longer arms which really help the steering strength and with the versatile design, you can move these from one car to another. Damn! If I knew about these I wouldn't have gotten the xr knuckles I have. How much would it be to do the half brass half delrin one on that thread?

Dude go all brass. Or go 7075 and the loaded dice weight system. No half an half.

I went all brass with removable slugs so I can fine tune the weight. These knuckles are awesome and built like a brick $@&thouse!!

I don't believe the half and half are made.. I know, I wanted the OG set.. Not worth the pennies. I have a set of all brass with removable slugs and 2x sets of delrin (for my super) The brass knuckles weight less then a VP weight.. If I remember correctly.. No need for all that weight! I had about 2oz of weight per side. Took the knuckle, weight, and steering arms off and weighed them against the Dlux knucks.. 3 grams difference.. Thats pretty dam good in my eyes! As for your XR knucks, they won't go bad in your parts bin, till you build your next rig.. ;) Go with Dlux knucks! | |

I realize I'm not running xr's on these but I must agree I went 7075 with brass slugs and brass rings. Gotta love all the options and quality

| Re: Knuckle weights As said above, the half/half pretty much ended up about 2.5x the cost of normal because of all the work. If you dont mind the cost, they can and will be done but most just opt to go with one solid knuckle.
