| Bluerocks SuDu Pro Mod. build I guess I need to do this. I have been reading this forum for some time and was inspired to build a 2.2 crawler rig. So here it is. My attempt to build a 2.2 Crawler. I first have to thank all of you for the invaluable information and build threads I used to get this done. You all saved me a ton of time and money and I had fun in the process. This is the new SuDu frame. Very nice work on their part. Last edited by Bluerock108; 01-18-2017 at 06:46 PM. |

Thanks,I'll be posting new photos as soon as I have time. Hopefully I can use most of my parts from my XR10 Mantis. It was a bit top heavy and it's ability to crawl on a angle was very limited. I realized this when I got to drive my friends rig. So I just had to build a better XR10. Last edited by Bluerock108; 01-18-2017 at 06:48 PM. |

| Re: Bluerocks SuDu Pro Mod. build Starting to come together. The skid and motor covers are from Shapeways 3D printing. I don't know what type of plastic there made of but it's real tough and the colors are cool. Took the axles and motors from my Mantis. I think I'm going to get new motors though. A buddy has Holmes torque master pro motors and there great motors. Last edited by Bluerock108; 01-18-2017 at 06:48 PM. |

If you're going for new motors, go for the Puller 400's from Holmes. Smaller and lighter, but pack excellent power. Also, if you're CG conscious, turn your shocks over...put the heavy part on the bottom. Every little bit helps.

| Re: Bluerocks SuDu Pro Mod. build Thanks for the advice. I did go with the Holmes motors but ordered the 540s mainly because I have two scale trucks that I plan to use them in. Later I will get the 400 pullers. Also went with big bore shocks from DLux. Im thinking of building a vintage XR10 with my old XR10 frame and body. I won't need to many parts to do this if I use new parts on the SuDu Pro.

| Re: Bluerocks SuDu Pro Mod. build Front and Rear axles with Hot Racing light cases and Hot Racing hard lightened gears and Holmes power. The Hot Racing cases use bigger bearings than the stock cases. So far they have never blown any bearings or striped any gears. The axles have the two screw mod and thread inserts from Dlux Fab. New axle housings also. Thanks again guys for making all this available to everyone. Last edited by Bluerock108; 02-03-2017 at 04:40 PM. |

| Re: Bluerocks SuDu Pro Mod. build , Just got my new BR mini stack from Holmes Hobbies. Hopefully I won't have any problems setting this up with my Airtronics MT4. I did spent the time to read as many posts as I could. Man I got a lot of info from the people using this ESC. Special thanks go's to Holmes for his constant support of his products. I used his setup and every thing worked the first time out. The control that I have with the due ESC's and the MT4 radio is so cool. I also will be using a castle 10a BEC to bring 7.4 v to the steering servo. I lurked around the electronic forums for info setting this up because it the first Dule ESC that i've messed with and I wanted to get it right. Thanks all for your time spent talking about this stuff. Last edited by Bluerock108; 01-17-2017 at 08:48 AM. Reason: Just added a few things. |
