30T holmes hobbies pullers or 30T team brood conflux..
If five slot on the HH motors you will need 16T, with those motors you can jump gaps and have perfect low speed control

I run the Brood Stubbies 35t which are like a 30t standard 540 can motor. They are extremely powerful with great low speed control. Some good conflux's or even his new line of motors the Genesis or Nexus.
My bro uses Holmes and has had good luck with both the 400 & 500 motors.

35T Brood Stubbies or 30T Brood Conflux will get the job done.

If you're not exactly sure about what you want dont buy anything thats costs more than $50-65 per motor. Figure out at that price point or lower what you like and what you want.... then you can spend money...
Nothing is worse than spending $400 bucks on motors that sit in you parts bin.... trust me....been there done that.

I did, and he set most do 6. But the motors have to be installed correctly. I guess my question is, what does timing the motors do for me, and if timed, how does the install differ from an untimed motor. I don't want to mess this up man!!

Timing adds more power, but also helps the motor arch less, so they run better.

However, one motor is timed in reverse....so if you mix them up, both motors will be running with retarded timing (bad bad bad). It's simply important to install the motors in the correct spot (typically reversed motor in the rear) to prevent this from happening....often, people install them correct, but they run backwards so they swap them.....typically this is due to an ESC or Radio setting, which should be what is changed to fix them. This why people often get motors timed at zero, which elimantes this problem pretty much, as regardless of install, they will be at zero either way.

More timing equals more RPM less timing equals more torque
