Interesting...that fuel door isn't in the same location as the current Yeti.

Man, more hype and they haven't even filled current orders.. Doubt it's actually a bigger yeti, the body possibility sounds interesting though... Maybe the kit version coming out?

Probably an SC version, or a 1/5th - 1/8th Scale Gas or maybe a solid front axle Yeti with a bit different body???

Something tells me the name "Yeti XL" doesn't lend itself to a Yeti chassis-based SC or trophy truck. While that would be a very simple next step for Axial (different body and wheels/tires would be just about all they'd really need to make it an SC truck), they'd likely attempt to create more of a separation between an Ultra4 truck and an SC style truck in branding - A more differentiated name than simply tacking "XL" on the end of the name for their Ultra4 truck.

I also kind of doubt it's just the kit version, since again the monicre "XL" just wouldn't...Fit with that.

I agree with SoCal Crawlr though - Interesting that they'd start teasing a new product when they haven't even completely filled demand for their current newest product. Unless they're trying to get a parallel item out in the open to let people consider which one they want to purchase before spending their money on the kit that they might not be as interested in...

My thoughts are the Kit (or different body on the same kit/RTR) since there are some pieces designed in that would hold different rear body/cage in a different location.

That shouldn't matter. They should focus on getting out all of the Yetis that are currently on order, get to a point where the supply can keep up with the demand for the Yeti, then work on whatever other iteration this is. Make good on their sales for the truck that's currently on the market before dividing their attention again.

UNLESS of course it's what I was guessing - they think some people might rather spend their money on whatever this "XL" is and they want to catch their attention before they spend their money ordering the currently available Yeti.

I'd hope they are able to handle dropping a few spy pics and filling current orders for they yeti, as one department should have nothing to do with the other.

I think that this will be 5th scale. If it is, I'll be buying it. If axial takes into large scale market then I think they will monopolize it as they did with rock crawling. That's ok, I like axial.

Larger scale Yeti, this makes me so excited for so many reasons.

I doubt 5th scale, but with the 1/10th scale version being the size it is, even an 1/8th scale will be BIG.

Yah I don't even care really what size it is I'm just so excited that a company like axial is getting into a large scale market. And especially if they did it with an electric motor. Imagine the torque a motor of that size could produce.

I'd LOVE to see an 1/8th scale from Axial. I was going to grab a Yeti as my vehicle back into the hobby after a 5 year absence. Now, I may wait to see what this XL stuff is all about.
