Default Transmitter help

I have had my Yeti XL for 3 days and at the start of my 4th run the transmitter would only work from 10 feet away. I made sure the antenna in the Yeti was not damaged as well as replacing the batteries in the transmitter. Has anyone else had this issue? Any ideas on how to fix the issue? Since the car came out of the box it would spark when hooking up the second battery. Not sure if this could be a cause or not. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm on day 2 of owning mine. It did the same thing. It's like it losses the bind between the rx and tx. I switched the rx to a spektrum and bound it to my dx3r. And it still kinda acted funny.

Just so you know, that spark is normal when you connect the battery. Just an FYI
