I broke the rear lower link where it connects to the chassis. Ordered GPM orange lower links from Amazon. My guess is about two weeks before it will get here. That's about how long it took for the steering rack to arrive. I run it on 4s with two SMC 7200mah 60c. Truck handles so stellar. Up until it cartwheeled and broke the lower link. Can't wait to drive it again once fixed.

Looks good. This badlands look so small on that thing. Yea that's how I broke my upper rear link. Cartwheels in this truck is bad news for this truck since it's so long and heavy, each cartwheel really slaps the truck.

The badlands do look a lot smaller. I was a little worried when I ordered them. I think in my opinion they look pretty proportionate. The side walls don't roll so it handles very nicely. I was disappointed when the lower links broke. Considering all the bashing videos that I have seen. I was jumping it off one of those plastic skate ramps when it broke. So it wasn't a high or very violent cartwheel. But I guess enough pressure to break the link. I am happy though There is plenty of hop ups for this truck. If it breaks it gets replaced with aluminum. I do wish MIP would come out with a drive shaft. I know Hot Racing has one. But I like the look of MIP better.

Badlands are an awesome bad a$$ tire. I had them on an Losi XXX SCT brushless build and a Losi Ten T nitro build. They can go from pavement to grass and dirt and perform great. Those and HPI dirt Bonz...great tires. Nice YXL by the way. |

Your right, The Badlands hook up super well. From grass, Dirt to pavement. Beyond pleased with how the truck handled. Not disappointed at all. just disappointed when the fun ended. Now I gotta be patient and wait. Gonna try 70wt shock oil in the front and keep 50wt in the rear. Didn't bounce at all in the rear. But the front seem to soft. Plus had the shock collar dialed all the way taking away the dual rate spring. So trial and error to get it where I like it. I always try to adjust ride height with shock oil, limiters and pistons rather than the shock collar. As I like the full length of the spring to cycle. Takes a little bit to dial in a vehicle sometimes and weed out the weak parts. But that's the fun of this hobby.

What if anything did you do about gearing with the smaller tires?

Stock spur with 14 tooth pinion. It's not very fast. Less than 30mph. Lots of torque very controllable. Temps are around 125 for the motor and 110 for ESC. Ran on 4s, two SMC 7200 60c batteries.
