Why do you want one? Do you keep melting the stock one were the bearings sit? Something failed on my original rear and that area disintegrated. I was running axial bearings though. Then as I was re doing the rear end after a HR driveshaft mishap I noticed that those little screws that hold the bearing in were not stripping out but it sure was gummy feeling. Well, they did back out and I trashed my last axial rear. I grabbed the Vanquish off Amain with a coupon code and it's been great since. There is a MUCH larger bearing on the inside. There is still the three little button heads that hold it in but it is now into aluminum. I replaced those with black cap screws because I loctited them in and feared of stripping that small 2mm hex and having to drill out that small hole!! And it look killer!! as stated, if you're breaking rear housings in half or constantly dealing with stripped screws/failed bearings .. it's a useful piece. as for "worth it" .. that depends on how often you run the truck and how often you have had rear housings fail. My old RTR is still only on it's 2nd rear housing. i was on my 4th, having literally broken 2 in half, before i decided to replace it with a vanquish. |

Really..... non of this is worth anything. A $180 RC truck rear end when sold used only brings what? $100 probably, if that.. If you want it because your tired of rebuilds...get it. If you want it because it's cool...get it. **BUT**If your on a budget or just sick of spending cash on the 480....get another stock rear and use Boca chromoly HD bearings in it. |

Bigger bearing, bearing retainers and an aluminum housing from vp pretty much seals the deal. Plus added unsprung weight in rear always helps. I'll most likely pick one up soon too.

I have the GPM rear knuckles/hubs and they don't fit with the Vanquish rear apparently. It's a shame because I really like the look and spending money on unnecessary upgrades is fun as hell.

I saw that HR rear lockouts didnt fit either, they took a dremel to the lockouts and made it fit/work.
