RC4WD makes the Dick Cepek 40 series 3.8 beadlocks that will fit the Yeti XL.

The problem for using these wheels for the Yeti XL is weight.

The stock wheels weigh 3 oz each while the RC4WD Dick Cepek 40 series 3.8 beadlock wheels weigh 9.67oz.

A set will add 26.67 oz (1 2/3 lb.) of rotating mass to an already straining drive train.

I'm not sure of weight but the AXIAL oversized beadlock wheels look promising, seem very light too being that they are composite with 6061 beadlock ring.

part numbers: AX8014 & AX8042

edit: check your LHS for these first mine has them for $36.50 a pair

I think the Axial beadlocks a are a little too wide for the Yeti XL tires. Axial used to make a narrower 3.8 size beadlock, but it's out of production now. I believe there is a thread on here where somebody cut down the axial beadlocks to fit the Yeti XL tires.

You are correct. Way to wide. These Pro-Line Weld Racing Beadlock Option are the same size as Axial 40 series currently offered. The Narrowing thread is in their as well.

Anyone know an off the shelf tire and wheel that fits?

I watched my buddies LOSI never have a tire issue all day while mine was blowing beads all over the place.

You can try the Pro-Line, Rock Rage 3.8" mounted on F-11's. I've personally never had issues blowing beads with Pro-Line.

Personally I'd spend the extra $$ for the motorworx. If your going to spend $200+ on just rims then go American and RCC vendor.
Those Bad Ass and light weight for what they are they are still to heavy for the YXL. I would out them on my Losi XXL without hesitation if I wanted to spend the $$.

FYI My narrowed PL Welds are 6.2oz. Heavier than stock but would be perfect for Pit Bulls

Cheap 2.8 beadlocks. 17mm hex

These babies are $10.50 a pair. At Nitrorcx.com. Complete with Wheel, tire and foam.

Now... They are not the best. But for less than $25 a set to your door, they could be a good basher set up?

http://www.nitrorcx.com/mad-mt2009-2010-cblue.html

Available in green or orange also. (I am stripping the blue with oven cleaner on mine.)

Pick up an extra set of wheels only for $4.00 a pair!

They are only 6.3" tall, but that could help with traction rolling. So would the tires not having any traction.

Asked the ebay guy about the weight and he answered 11.6 oz (328g). Too heavy IMHO.

Those Motorworx wheels looks absolute fantastic but they are pricy, especially shipped to europe with taxes and all that stuff.

Guess I'll order some Axial oversize and narrow them Is there a thread here on how to do that?
