Default New RC4WD Dick Cepek Beadlocks with Pitbull RockBeast Tires

Just got in a set of RC4WD 3.8 Dick Cepek Beadlocks with the Pitbull RockBeast. Also a HotRacing wheel hub upgrade for the YETI XL RTR.

They fit very well and I was surprised how firm the foams are. Here's a shot compared to the stock wheel and tires.

Will be a couple days until I can get them all mounted and try them out in the field. I also like the black look so I think Im gonna dye them solid black.

Get the Crawler Innovations foams. You will not regret it.

You know I was really considering the CI foams but I wanted to see what the Pitbull Foams were like. They are really firm and fill out the tire. Steve, the CI foams are still that much better?

I have never used the PB foams but the CI foams are killer I am on my second set and will not use any other foam. Really good stuff for bashing.

I will second the CI foams. Night and day difference from the previous stockers I was using! Tires don't stretch like before and they get great traction still! Now if I could just figure out the shocks I would be a happy camper

Sounds like CI foams are the way to go, thanks!

Had a chance to try out the new setup finally. If you have a RTR and still on stock tires, you should really change them. I was surprised how much a tire and foams can make. I'm still on the Pitbull Rockbeast foams but their was a big improvement in traction, stability, cornering and what seems like suspension. The old tires and foams seem like mush compared to these. Cant recommend them enough. The Dick Cepek wheels... well they just look great. They held the bead perfectly and for being a heavier setup, I couldn't tell like I lost that much power. I ordered some 3S batteries though to use after I complete modding up the rig.

I got my CI foams and they are pretty hefty. I thought the Pitbull foams were a major upgrade from the the stock RTR foams, and they are, but these things are robust. I can see how they will make a difference on the field. For anyone interested, I put a ten pound weight on both to illustrate the different tensile strengths. On the left is the CI foam and I am only balancing the weight from falling over. On the right, is the Pitbull foam and as you can see there is no contest.

Here the weights are off and they both return to their original shapes.

Cant wait to try them out in action.

Decided I liked going without the center hubcap. At least for now.
