Thumbs up Yeti Kit and 2.2 Wildpeaks coming in the next month

?

Tower has the 2.2 wildpeaks listed as coming in late November...
TowerHobbies.com | Axial 2.2 Falken Wildpeak M/T R35 Compound (2)

I also found this picture on big squid showing 2.2 wildpeaks on a yeti, which looks like it also has some other unreleased parts on it (wheels, links etc)

to my knowledge axial has never released tires and wheels on there own. always on a vehicle.

I wonder if were very close to seeing both..........

I believe the wheels are the new Method beadlocks that come on the Spawn Wraith, the rear links are the just released link plates for the lower and upper links. The tires I'm not sure about, might be interesting.

This isn't a pic of the Kit version (it would have a simpler color scheme.) But, we all know they are going to come out with a Yeti Kit. And we all know axial typically throws in a couple upgrades for the kit version, so we may see these tires in the kit... That would be nice. It may actually make me want a Yeti.

Also wanted to add:

Fun Fact:
Axial's last Kit version was the G6 JK SCX10 from October 2013 (more than a year ago) so they are definitely due to get one out.
Last kit before that was the 4 Door JK SCX10 in January 2013
The one before that was the EXO Kit from November 2011

Wow... we have only gotten 2 kits since the EXO 3 years ago... c'mon Axial, we are ready for it.

Would be interesting to know how much time Axail holds between releases of RTR and KIT for each model.
Also; If this is indeed a pre-version of the kit it wouldn't surprise me if the slapped on a standard available body. (As oppossed to a clear kit version one )

Humm they are calling the compound "S30" on the 2.2 Falken Wildpeak M/T.
Maybe slightly harder then their "R35"??

I have heard the Axial guys refer the the RTR compound tires as the S40 tires in the past. Makes me wonder what is going on with these. I really hope that we don't have a hard compound tire in the kit.

If it's the same across the board for tire compounds, that would mean that the "S30" compound would be softer than the S40 but not so soft it balloons. Maybe a race compound?

Looking at the picture, the tires do have a sheen like the R35s have, not dull like the R40/S40. What tire compound did the kit Exo use?

I also like the fact that we do have several pairs of Axial eyes on this forum. Axial has introduced the upgrades that are absolutely necessary to get up and running, not to mention the incredibly simple and classy paint scheme that they used.

Well, it seems that was a kit version with a pre-painted RTR body. The kit seems to have the clear body in it. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the upgrades they are throwing in, and I think this might mean I will get one.
Good job Axial!

Nice job, Axial! Glad I waited. HD diff gears, hell yeah. That's awesome. Sounds like some beefy turnbuckles for front suspension too?

Haven't been this excited about a kit in a long time.
