| Axial Yeti Upgrades - Need Opinions Plz
So I finally pulled the trigger to the 1/10 Yeti. Now, from what i've read and seen, i'm really not going to run it until I upgrade it. I'm going to keep the electronics stock as far as the ESC and motor. But the servo is going to be replaced with the Savox 1210 waterproof servo. Here is a list of the upgrades i've already ordered and will be put on as soon as I get them... T-Bone basher bumper Hot Racing Caster Blocks Hot Racing Aluminum Motor Mount Hot Racing Aluminum Front Shock Tower Hot Racing Aluminum Motor Plate Vanquish Steering rack w/bearings Vanquish Rear Trailing Arms RPM A-Arms SSD Scale Knuckles STRC Aluminum Steering Bellcrank Blue Monkey Titanium Rear Upper Links Now I've had good luck with STRC in the past, but this is the first time i'm using Hot Racing parts. I've been following RCNetworks build of his yeti and he uses alot of their parts. Anyone have any good or bad things to say about them? Also if there is anything else I maybe should upgrade please let me know. Thanks guys. |

I have the Hot Racing bell cranks on mine and it was my first purchase of anything HR makes, I'm quite impressed with the fit and finish. See the link in my signature for all the upgrade and option parts.

Sweet, looked it over and I pretty much have a lot of what you said. Can't wait to get this thing up and running

+1. I have both the bell cranks and the motor mount parts. I think the fit and finish is really good, and definitely adds strength/tightens up the yeti.

I have their knuckles and carriers on mine and they look better than VP but when installing i had to grind down a little to get the perfect fit but it was worth saving a few bucks. Also the HR ones have multiple holes for the steering links to connect. The only thing i don't like is that the knuckles are made so the stub axle is angled downwards. and you need to remove the rubber stops in the diff outdrives to free up the steering when you correct the camber. (plus you almost never find anything VP in stock) Last edited by RaceMod; 12-27-2014 at 10:18 AM. |

Good deal! The Hot Racing parts have drastically improved even since about a year ago. The only thing you may want to add down the line are some driveline items like the HD bevel gears for the diffs, rear diff locker, steel spur and front CVD's from HR. Other than that, MIP rear driveshaft and you'll be complete! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
