I have the same ESC and but 4000kv motor and its quite powerful. I would recommend crawler innovations foams as another upgrade. They helped prevent rollovers at speed a lot

Definitely considering those. I'm hoping to get a couple sets of his foams here at the shop.

The rig looks great, nice stance and I too really like the paint scheme ...love the way you carried the green to the rims and into the cockpit. But I almost expected to see an Xbox 360 logo on the side...😳 Let us know how the foams work, I am in a similar boat as well |

Haha, I never thought of it that way. Now that's all I see. I'm going to have to throw some vinyl on it to change the look.

How do you like the dual rear shocks? What springs and weight oil are you using? The other guy here running two shocks had his springs on the front shock. What's your reasoning for putting it on the rear?

No offense taken on the paint. I had an idea and put it down. It's nice to see things from other perspectives. I haven't had the chance to run the rig yet. So far I have losi 15wt in both with the dual rate pistons in the longer rear shocks. I'm running the white 14x90 springs. I'm running the on the springs on the rear to "stiffen" the springs in a sense. With the spring further back the trailing arm doesn't have as much leverage to compress it. I will be making the bypass holes in the pistons larger to get a faster rebound after some testing. The way Axial explains to set up the bypass shocks is backward in the manual. IE the setup for faster rebound as stated in the manual is actually for faster compression. |

I have another question for you about your rear shock setup. Does the rear still flex decently without sway bar/ do any parts contact any other parts? I would guess it still does but since I don't have a second shock set yet I can't test it.

And another. Can you get a pic with the body off of the rear shock and link assembly? Just like the first pic but maybe rotated 5 more inches to the left side of the truck. It would be greatly appreciated.

I'll unhook the sway bar and let you know. I'll be sure to get a picture without the body as well.

Hmmmm I wonder if I can get away with using the stock shocks as the slave for this set up and my upgrades as the master...??? The thought of buying another set of kyosho velvets just to "slave" makes my debit card tremble |

Thanks. Gonna shoot you another question you may be able to help me with. With the RTR configuration the rear is to soft. The goto "fix" seems to be 30wt oil with blue springs, however, I want the dual setup but not like yours just slightly different. Can I not get the same "go to fix/ setup" feel with two shocks, ~2.20lbs springs, and 15wt oil? (I am aware that the shock shafts resistance against the o-ring will be doubled)

Reason being I believe i need to be able to go into the ~7-8lbs range to stop the rear from slamming down while running on 6s. Example: 3s = 4.5-5lbs/4s = 5.5-6.5lbs/6s = 7-8lbs. Last edited by MonsterPower; 03-13-2015 at 11:48 AM. |

Rockwolf, you can use them as the slave but you won't have as much travel if you don't use a longer set of shocks in the rear position. MonsterPower, the blue spring is popular for the front. Axial 14 x90 red, or white for the rear. The whites are most likely the spring you will want. Last edited by OhioSuperSport; 03-14-2015 at 12:28 PM. |

What's the advantage of the open rear diff?

The open rear diff will allow the truck to turn better And make the rear end feel tighter instead of fish tailing
