Default Could use some advice on front Yeti Axles.

Hello people,

I bought myself a Yeti a couple months ago, after a few battery packs, alot of reading and watching youtube, I started upgrading it. Some Vanquish components in the rear suspention went in smoothly, then the STRC Steering kit, perfect. STRC Engine mount/plate, MIP driveshaft excellent fit. I was loving the upgrades till tonights batch of new toys.

I ran into a problem with the front axles. Currently Im running RPM lower control arms, STRC C-hubs and knuckles. Almost as an afterthought, I ordered the Axial Universal Axle Set 94MM ax31135. When I was putting all this in tonight, I found it was binding when I tried to attached the top control "arm/turnbuckle".

As this is my first r/c in 25yrs, I figured I missed something or had something incorrect. a quick comparison to the stock dogbone setup shows me the new Axial part is about 2mm to long. Anyone else have this problem? And if so, what was your solution. I put it together completely with the stock dogbones for now to make sure I wasn't going nuts.

I did not db. I didn't see anything in there. When I open the shop in the morning Ill take a look. for some reason I cant upload the images of the two and the differences, but the axial upgrade universals are about 1.4mm longer than the stock dog bone. From outside bearing seat to the opposite end pin.

They just botched up the engineering to manufacturing somewhere. and its not worth bending parts to me to mod it in that much. Ill return them and wait for them to correct the mistakes they made.

RTRs come with the dog bones AND a rubber stoppers shoved in the diff cup to keep the dogbone sucked into the outdrives/wheels. When upgrading to Universals, pry out the little rubber stopper and you're good to go. I shoved a 2mm hex wren in the cup and it popped out.

I thought I was having issues with my kit universals binding, but after checking adjustments and tuning the suspension a little I haven't had any issues. It also doesn't seem to bind when compressing the suspension. I only bash my yeti.
