| Servo Saver Bearing Mod
I have read in many posts about using a bearing to take up the slop in the Yeti's steering, but no where did it mention what size. So last night I tried what bearings I had, spares from my SCX10 knuckles. So long story short, 10x15x4 is the size needed for the stock steering assembly. Simply install it under the servo saver spring. Works great.

If you just use 2 bearings, you'll have some slop in the saver assembly, it actually needs some shims to get that out. I did that for awhile, now I use the DUDE engineering Dude Rang...1 small delrin spacer that does everything without shims needed and works in stock or the HR bellcranks perfectly.

Rather than pre-loading the spring, a better way is to use a 10x15x10 spacer: Zombi's Axial Yeti - Page 22 - Rock Crawlers - MSUK RC Forum - Page 22 |

I also use one 10X15X4 on top of the spring and works great. No slopness anymore, and just a little bit of "servo saver" left.

The bearing mod is a nice fix for the stock bellcranks but it doesn't work with the HR bellcranks, at least not for me without possibly stripping out the holes. As mentioned above, the best route is the a Dude Rang.

Looking for some help. I ordered a srtc bell crank and post. Will this fix the steering or is the dude engineering spacer still recommended? If so we're can I buy one. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

The HR spring is stiffer than stock, it's better. I have the HR pieces and the Dude Rang in it. |

I used the GPM bellcrank with a lock ring in there and the arm snapped despite being ally - do you think the HR setup would fare better?

i replaced my steering with the full strc steering. it still has a ton of slop. i can see the slop in the bell crank but i also can see some coming from the bearings riding on the steering post.
