Here is a pic of mine with the Traxxas Latrax wheels,and mini rival tires,the added width,and traction helped tremendously, the hex hole on my wheels are tapped out to m4,so I can use my RC4WD wideners when my body shows up. It looks good with the TT body,but the tires look wide when looking underneath,but performance,over looks 1st!That's the servo saver I use for the mg90 servo,they have more than enough power,no need to spend alot on servos,and to ease up any binding in the steering rack,just back the screw out on the rack assembly,you'll feel it loosen up!

I'm gonna need to see some better pics of them growlers please? Are those the 1.55's on the stock wheels? I was afraid they'd be to tall. I'd like to see some poser pics please?

Those are 1.55 that I have reduced in size to about 3.6 tall

I considered that when i couldn't find a scale looking tire short enough.
But there's that "what if i screw em up and they look like crap" side of me that has always kept me from cut'n up good tires.

Yeah, I've done enough tires over the years that I can usually even fix it if I screw up. Here's a pic of them next to the 4.05 pbx a/t.

Traxxas LaTrax gears DO NOT work. They are a different size, different pitch, etc.

Ok guys, I have read this entire thread and I am still having a hard time deciding if this setup would be a decent option. I know there was talk of motor diameter and this is on the smaller side, but after looking at the mamba micro x it looks to be the same diameter. I think that motor may be a little anemic. I ran a 24mm motor and it did fine. Too many kV for me so I put the brushed back in and ordered a 24mm low kV to try. A 28mm motor will fit but be aware the longer can ones may cause problems.

Ok, that's what I thought. I'm on the hunt for a decent brushless combo for less than $50. If I can't find anything I guess I'll just go with the mamba.

Awesome , how does it compare to the castle system? I see it's slightly higher higher kv.

I have both the TT Jr and Yeti Jr and my yeti'steering was so tight it wouldn't center even with a Spektrum SPMS401 servo installed. I tried polishing the ball ends and it helped a little. Then slightly sandedthe too and bottom of the rack where it picots on the two pins. This also helpedalotbit stillnot enough. Once I replaced all the links with Associated turnbuckles, the steering was finally freed up.
Now my TT was completely different. It had zero issues with tight steering and in fact, I'm still running the stock servo in it.
