Looked like front and rear open diffs. What a let down this has been..........

@Brake -- I'm thinking they were worried locked diffs would destroy the plastic gears. That's the only thing I can think of. I'm more disappointed in the motor choice. A 40T 380 motor seems like it would be painfully slow, but maybe I'm wrong as I admittedly don't know a lot about smaller scale RC.

Like...1:10 scale on 2.2"?

I'm most interested in that rear axle and wondering if Axial is working on a front...
As of now, the width is perfect for the Tamiya hardbodies.

keep in mind it has no transmission, if you want to lock the rear grab some silly putty and call it a day, everything is plastic on my dromidas and they hold up fine.

biggest problem is the 2in1 RX, if you ditch that it should be simple to go brushless, just need to make sure the servo stays mounted. unless them made this thing a heavy pig like the yetis before it, it should be fine with plastic gears if they are well designed.

All I wanted is a U4 1.9 Comp class car.
But I still see that little rig can be fun in a unofficial "1.55 comp" class if enough people get it around here.

If it'll stick around long enough for the aftermarket to make the metal parts and lockers then it could be a fun RC. As it is now it's barely above toy grade.

I'd rather have this one:

HBX 12891 1/12 4WD 2.4G Waterproof Hydraulic Damper RC Desert Buggy Truck with LED Light Sale - Banggood Mobile

Barely? I'd say this is well above toy-grade in some areas. Take a closer look at the reviews that are already out there.

Re: Axial 1/18 Yeti (and Yeti Score)

I assume the limited quantities is to test how popular it gets. As far as the esc/Rx combo, yes Imo its annoying, but also comon on anything smaller than 1/18. It's nice having the compact size. If there is room I'll probably drop in a GT3B RX and a mamba micro. I doubt it will be considered competition for the Ambush or even the RC4WD mini gelande. Even though it's 1/18, it looks a little larger. I'm intrigued so far.

If Axial's website is to be believed, it won't be available at any retail stores. "Available exclusively on axialracing.com/"

Couldn't help it, had to order one. This little thing looks like a lot of fun and I'm liking all these smaller scale trucks coming out. I'm already psyched to start upgrading it. :ror:

Order placed for the rock racer and looks like the local club the people are getting excited and we may have a 1.55 U4 class

These would be so fun to race in their own class. Hopefully more of our local guys pick one up.

yes, in our local group is basically decided that need to run by itself. It's way too small to compete with the 1.9 rigs.
