Default Yeti on asphault

It seems every time I run my yeti on road I break something... I can beat the snot out of it at the construction yard but on asphault something breaks I'm dropping in a savox sc0251mg to replace my stock servo what servo saver should I use (currently using the vanquish steering setup sans saver)

No center diff and a locked rear diff, makes it harder on the mechanical components...

Look at Hot Racing steering with adjustable servo saver, would be my choice had my Yeti not already come with another setup (bought 2nd hand)

in one of the threads here someone used one on servo side. but i don't remember who. (i'm getting old )
As steering servo for a yeti the 0231 is a little weak with 12kg in my eyes. wouldn't go under 20kg personally (more is better). A higher torque servo maybe could also help you out but not sure.
In general driving on asphalt will higher the risk of breakage, cause asphalt doesn't give. All force goes into the rig.

Sounds like to me its an issue of to much grip or traction

I'm well aware of how assfault can destroy an off road rig (learned that with my built Baja 5t) but I was just testing her after programming my esc... side note I think ima drop in my cc 2650kv and max 8 esc what gearing should I use for 3 sometimes 4s?

Im running the UD ratios f/r. Slightly more surface area for better tooth engagement besides the obvious extra reduction.

If youre gonna be spending any extended amount of time on pavement, Id suggest some shorter tires to bring the CG down a bit and definitely get that rear locker outta there. It's putting massive strain on the rear axles, gears and driveshaft.

And I have to agree with magic_yeti on the servo. I have an 0231 in my scx10 and it gets the job done. But its really just a slight bump in power campared to the rtr servos. Not bad, but not enough for a fast 2.2 truck IMO. My yeti uses a Tower Pro mg968.

19T pinion gear with the 64T spur gear will get you about 25mph. That's plenty fast for me anyways . The Castle motor will give ooodles of torque. Drop a 4S pack in the belly, and you'll see close to 33mph. I could gear up a bit as temps only reach very warm-ish (150*F). Unfortunately, I run the Yeti nowadays on my 2S setup until I decide to buy an external BEC...my ultra low budget ESC does not like 3S .

If I want to go faster, I'll grab another RC to get my thrills. Going over rough terrain at moderate speeds is what the Yeti was designed for. A Yeti doing on-road duty is just not right in my book .

I'm running a tekin 30004x4 geared at 12/64 with rear ud. As I am running the tall super Swampers I've decided no servo saver, with my 7954, so far so good. I've geared this down and with the two speed I can go thru walls or over them.
Biggest issue I had was eating dog bones, Eric solved that

I found a solution with servo side servosaver from GPM.
Maybe that's what you're looking for.

Got that, useless with a strong servo. my Hitech overpowered it.every rotation, center was different
