| Ae3 issues
So after deciding to pull out my rtr yeti. I charged a 2s 5000mah lipo pack(2). I am having issues with it not having a good signal (multiple times to turn off and on to get it to work) when it does work the steering servo is super slow and the motor just jerks. It has a castle blower fan on motor and when I turn the steering, the servo seems to draw excessive power. Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk |

Question is, did it happen before or did it go bad standing still? I drive the same, completely stock, only body and shock modifications, no cooling needed. I only added a dedicated BEC: A Pololu 5V 5A step-down converter. Small, very reliable (use them also in my planes and drones) and affordable. But before changing parts, I would first check your wiring. Then check the servo. Detach it electronically and see if the car behaves as it should. Can be a faulty servo drawing too much current. Then attach the servo again electronically, but release the servo horn. Everything ok? Then serious binding probably. Check front wheels by hand. If all these don't lead to a problem: Tiny change of rx failure, try the one from your Bomber. Or the ESC might indeed be bad. Then exchange it and add a Pololu. Long story short, first do some common sense debugging. Then exchange parts. Yvo Quote:

Was a servo issue. I don't have the money for a mamba x system... Sent from my Moto Z (2) using Tapatalk |

Glad you did find the cause. And don't be tempted to replace it with an overkill high torque super deluxe servo I have high standards for myself, but the stock Savox, AE3 and a Pololu (D24V50F5 , $ 14.95) are enough Yvo Last edited by Phaeton; 08-22-2018 at 03:39 AM. |
