| Stock tyre question
Git a Yeti kit and really surprised how soft the tyres are, even with the supplied foam fitted. I am just going to run on "flat" terrain no rocks to grip for me. Should I leave the tyres as they came until I need to change them? Or are they not upto spirited use and change right away? |

You will need different Foams, best are the crawler Innovations Duece Wild Standard or the New hd version depending on weight Gesendet von meinem Pixel 2 XL mit Tapatalk |

Yes, the stock foams are too soft and basically junk. The tires aren't terrible, but the foams kind of ruin them. Just today I fit up a set of Pro-Line Flat Iron XL, and a set of Crawler Innovations, CWR-3003 Deuce's Wild foams... Obviously the tire change doesn't allow a 100% apples to apples comparison, but the difference is huge in a positive manner. Even though the XLs are a little bit taller than the stockers, with the Deuces Wild foams the handling was more crisp, the tendency to lift a wheel during a powered turn was down and was the tendency to roll over (with no suspension changes) The key difference is that the harder/stiffer foam of the Deuces prevents the sidewall from deforming or even folding over under lateral loads like the stock foams. If you want to re-foam the stock tires, you might try the CWR-3014, they are a little smaller OD than the 3003. |
