So what is the story from the last place? Why did they kick you out? And what cop would be out there in that weather and care? "Blah blah blah.... get out of here with your destructive.... blah blah..... private property.... blah blah... I was called here for something else, but I am kicking you out for whatever reason I can make up off the top of my head..... blah blah" -Sam |

Ill go and check out the niles spot and a few other places..... It was actually a park ranger that saw me on top of the hill and asked me to come down. He was actually pretty cool about it and said that they werent allowed in any of the alameda county parks......i think we could play dumb really. if we go to the other side of the hill they cant see what were doing.... I looked up on the website and sure enough it states that no remote controls are allowed....probably to save their butt if some kid got hit by a nitro doin 55 through the park. if the department of fish and game cop comes out were screwed...the guy is older, probably lives at home with his mom and real badge heavy....he has harassed me plenty of times for riding my streetbike in a private parking lot....bad part is he has just as much jurisdiction there then he does on govt property.... |

You know I have some experance with the Alameada Parks department. Our boat club rents Kaiser cove from them now it cost 200 a year, but it gives them a out so that any one that is running in any of there ponds they have some whare to send them. I will talk to some one in the know and see what can be done. It will not hurt to become knownso Lets go and have some fun this sunday |

Sweet. Looks like it will be a good turn out. I just wheeled at lunch with chino63(Dean) today. We hit up a piss poor muddy spot, but had a good time anyway. All I have to say is watch out for the Chino in '06. He can drive that little Bronco and it works really well. How's this for the plan so that if we have location issues: 1) Badger's spot - Fremont (Badger to supply directions if it looks good on Saturday afternoon) 2) 1st Backup - Dana Rock Park 3) 2nd Backup - Mini-Hammers 4) 3rd Backup - Steven's Creek Reservoir This way, if someone shows up late, they can traverse to the next location if they don't have contact by phone. See you on Sunday. 10:00 AM -Sam Last edited by badger; 01-05-2006 at 11:26 PM. Reason: updating time frame |

If anyone wants my cell # shoot me a PM. I'll be there, unfortunately the winch will not be working. I gave the controller I built with the microprocessor back to the guy who built it to have him fix it. I'll get it back on tuesday. I wish I know what happened to it. I'm just bringing the truggy unless someone needs a rig then I can bring the RBX as well. Though I tihnk I may sell it. The truggy is so much fun to drive.

I bet you will find a lot of fast moving water through there.. I went to the rest stop half way through about a month ago. I walked with my dog both ways untill the trail went to brush, and I can tell you theres nothing there at this time.. When the water goes down to nothing you may have a whole different area.. There is a lot more space to explore on that road, just dont waste your time near the rest stop. | |
