Pauma Trail Needs: 1) Backpack 2) Around 10,000 MaH battery reserves (Probably do the trail with 5000) 3) drinking water 4) tools Pauma trail wants: 1) spare parts 2) recovery equipment (straps, tow hooks, winches) 3) digital camera (if we all get a few shots to share it would be cool!) We park in a dirt or asphault lot. We walk roughly 3/4 mile total with the trail being driven in both directions. trail head is a few hundred feet from lot. Dont plan on walking back to your 1 to 1 vehicle for supplies. We try not to step where we drive (on the trail) We try to use recovery equipment where ever possible, working together We get better at crawling when we do ^^^^^^ We are there to have fun and learn about our equipment and challenge ourselves. We DO NOT keep any sort of score. If you crash every 3 feet when you start out the day, and finish the day crashing every 6 feet then the day was a success You can keep track of how many roll overs you had and how many extractions you needed, but only for reference to challenge yourself in the future. We carry out what we bring in. Ok guys, this is what I am thinking. If you have any questions feel free to hit us up. If any of this makes you nervous, dont be, fun is priority number one. So worst case, if it all goes bad we hold travis down and put his Honcho out on the street to watch it get run over by a tour bus on the way to a casino, that should be good for a Last edited by Recce01; 09-16-2010 at 06:32 PM. |

I am very interested in this! Are you only allowing 1.9 tires on the scalers? So final time is 230 at the little taco shop on the west side of 76? Thanks, Vince G. |

You never know over there. They will release water down the stream sometimes, but It has never been a threat. Most of the trail is on the edges. My rig is not waterproof, so I dont intend to do any deep crossing of anything! It has been 2 weeks since the last time they did, and it was just trickling. | |

Just wanted to let you guys know I'm OK, after my little avalanche fall. My back and hip are killing me, just a little rock rash but I'll be fine. As soon as I put my weight on that rock I felt it move and by the time I tried to get of that rock I went down with it, what freaked me out was the next big rock comin down behind me. I'm just glad no one else got hurt, those where some heavy rocks coming down. Could have been worst, lucky me What time did you guys end up finishing the trail? Scott thanks for the invite to crawl with you guys, That was epic, scale crawling is way better when you have a gang of guys cruising and helping each other out. I'm looking forward to the next trail session. This spot on weekends would be good for me, since I work crazy hours during the week. So PM me next time you guys head out there. Thanks again. | Prifral - This is a fun trail, I mean super fun. There's so many different lines, with a mix of soft dirt/sand, tricky climbs, and some technical and Axle twisters sections. And if your lucky like me, you can fall of a rock and start an avalanche. I called it Scotts Trail in my photo link, but I'm going to call it Orange Crush from now on. Fun time's, If I hear anything on the next GTG I'll send you a PM.
