Default Bean Hollow crawl 03-11-06

Some of the Nor-Cal guys went out to the Bean Hollow beach yesterday for a small get-together, man what an amazing place to crawl!

Here are the pics taken by Sam (thanks!) with my camera.

The weather was horrible, I got sun burned from all the rain and snow.

Of course we had an accident, police quickly ruled that the asian driving the Toyota was at fault.

You know, I think I still have a little whiplash from that accident. The rig is ok though. A little body shop work, bondo, and some spit and it's all good again.

That was a pretty brutal day though. I am still surprised at how great the day turned out. Although I didn't think so at first, I too got a little sun burn on the back of my neck. Thank you weather man for being wrong.

By the way, how did the Mog extraction go? Sorry we ditched you out in the middle of nowwhere. Did that random mechanic guy come back to try and fix your rig again?

The extraction went ok. The guy that came out was a total *****, he barged out of his tow truck saying "there is no fuking way I am towing that, that thing is 12 feet tall and way wider then 8',,, and that thing has to weigh 15,000 lbs!" Another call to my Uncle-in-law and the guy was ready to tow.

Anyway, got home about 10:30. I am just happy I didn't have to leave it out there in that turnout right next to the ocean. The weather was picking up again so who knows if I would have had a soft top on it after a night of those winds.

Oh and no problem on leaving me out in the middle of nowhere to die. I just did what I do best, eat.

There is a difference between a "stuck" mog and a "broke down" mog. It broke down.

OK that makes alot more sense. Its takes someone special to get one of those stuck in a place like that. What year is yours?

Yeah it does, and I am retarded...err... special enough to get it stuck.

It's a '64.

Here are some pics of it.

I say we pack as many heads as we can in the back of the Mog and car pool out there. Then Sam will make it break down on the way home again and we can park it in the same pullout next to the ocean and have a slumber party.

I am down for Sunday.

Can we invite the freaky midnight mechanic again?

By the way, I didn't make it break down, I only made it worse.
