Leave me a message. You've both got my #. I haven't set up a voice mail greeting yet but it is my VM box
We'll more than likely be out there by about 530 maybe 6 at the latest. Hopefully it cools down a little bit by that time.

The only time you'll ever see IFS out on the trail is a bone stock truck or SUV or in king of the hammers races. otherwise, everyone is solid axle. IFS doesnt really "flex", and it's generally less predicable than a solid axle suspension. your always going to run the risk of getting a wheel off the ground, generally the challenge is to pick the line that allows you to get through the obstacle with all four wheels on the ground ideally.
oh, i see..

hmm, but the FJ looks pretty stable after watching the trail teams vids. and i read up on a solid axle conversion

you could get one of those fire escape ladders to just fall out of the door, so then you can lift the hell out of a jeep
like this lifted!

you can get an RC specfic tap from Dubro with the drill for 10 off Amainhobbies.

Rc unlimited has them for like 9?

but i believe homedepot, has them, but you have to buy a full set of taps and drills which is an upwards of like 30.

I'd have to really be into the metal fab to do that...unless I have to tap out an already stripped out metal hole....there's other stuff I want before that...

When are you back in town ?

Hit up pirate4x4 and read for a few weeks in the FJ section. You'll get a better understanding of the vehicle & what goes into them.

was a bad...day. after all the upgrades and fastening. i eneded up breaking the Knuckle. The ear tab has the m3 busing in it. i was forced to drill them out to .250 to accommodate the oversized cap screws that fasten the chub and knuckle. the rig found another soft spot in the chain. gotta macguyver it til i can beef up another area.

Trail was awesome. its a definite good spot. just a little walk from the other area where metawads right was hill climbing. its also where i broke one of my delrin links. awesome climb but theres really no way down. we both havent figured out the down part yet. can be a fatal climb. Be warned... theres a looooooong trail. hit it when you can

Its a nice place. There's alot up there too. We haven't walked the whole trail yet. I used to ride my bike up that trail when I was a young Buck. So I know there's more back there. Meatwad and I did drive further up the road. There was a few good Crawler spots there. That was creeper days.
