i drift here pretty much constantly (i live 1 mile away). i spoke with the guy building the crawler course and he speculated they'd have it open by this friday. i'll stop by later today and get the scoop from AJ.

nice berg lunarbomb The terrain wasn't friendly with my scaler, next time I'll bring my xr10. I think it just needs more rocks. other than that, it seemed done. makes me want to buy a heli, those bridges seem challenging. It would be funny seeing some helis go down |

Hell Yeah! AJ's wall of chit has transformed into Volcano Island Just Kidding I'm glad AJ did something for the local crawlers! Thumbs up AJ Makes sure you get a couple of rockpiles somewhere between those volcanic mountains! Here's part of the old course: Last edited by Rig Rocker; 11-14-2010 at 03:33 PM. |

Only in California would you find a indoor crawling course that looks like a movie set. Looks fantastic but you better tell us a little about how you did that. |

Anyone drive on it since it was finished? I'll try and get by there later. Just curious what they used on the tarps. Looks pretty cool but it would've been better to build the base up out of the same kind of framework, but with stucco or a crete mix on top. That would have made all the slopes driveable, and could've and should've been made more detailed topograpghy, versus near vertical mountains with only one way to drive on them. Like this. Its basically the same under and over and through framework design but it's exterior is like real earth/ rock with nearly 100% open for driving. The theme and colors could have been the same. Just 90% more driving area, and also able to set up a comp. Looks like it can be made better though if AJ has his guy stack some nice rockpiles in there and maybe redo at least one mountain in stucco instead of the tarp. Here's some pics and a link to the build thread: RCR's indoor Crawling Wall Last edited by Rig Rocker; 04-06-2011 at 07:20 PM. |

I'll be there tonight with my scaler and comp. Yeah, just the rocks were a little to chunky for my scaler, but it seemed like the honchos weren't having much trouble.
