| Club Rules........to spice things up?
Howdy addicts!!! I've been part of a few small RC groups/clubs AND sometimes (by no fault of their own) they lack some organization and vision for sustained growth. I'm wondering if anyone would share their insights on what they like best about their club or group. Some things I've thought about are a system for GTGers based upon attendance, performance (driver capabilities), rig class and specs etc.....for example....a collective point system OR do you keep it more casal? If it is a points system: +1 PT for attendance +1 PT for driving there..... So if you drove to the GTG, you get 2 PTS....1 PT if you carpooled. Then, additional POINTS for completing a predetermined course, etc. Everyone has to complete the course together. With a score card....I'm thinking like in golf. PAR, BIRDIE, ETC... POINTS for rigs class and design ETC..... As point totals grow, your place in a line up gets better. Higher points get 1st position and leads.....lower points go down the line. Maybe these points renew each year, maybe they don't AND you start over each season or year to allow for newer members to participate more inclusively. If a more casual system works, what works best for you? Anyway, not sure what other groups do. Please share. Thanks. Rock On!!!!! |

I like 1.9 Trail, 1.9 Comp, 2.2 Trail, 2.2 Comp, 2.2 Trophy classes....like the flyer shows here. Although 2.2 Trail was added by me, because 2.2 Comp is more of a MOA class. Isn't it? Thanks for sharing the flyer Glen Helen |

These are my buddies RockKook. Have you ever been out to a race? My buddy Jerry is involved with them as well as a few other guys. They always have an awesome turn out.

MOA is not allowed in the series, moa has nothing to do with the scale affect we are after, haha, but that would be cool to run once. 2.2C is mostly Wraiths, and a few Exo's and a few Wrexos (Exo front, with AR60 rear). I think the whole 2.2C field runs AR60 axles too.

That's awesome guys.....but what do you think leads to the success of the GTG's? I guess I'll have to attend more to know what works best. I hope to see you guys out and about. Until then, building my XR and running my Twin Hammers, Wraith or short course trucks. |
