Ima have to push til Thursday. I could possibly make it tmrw but I'll be cutting it close. If the plans for tmrw have been made then please go have fun. Don't cancel it on my account. I'll just try and get there on time. If nothing's set in stone, Thursday might be a better bet for me

Have the park Rangers let you guys have an organized comp? If not, how many max drivers have you had there during off-hours without the Rangers hassling you?

Is there a specific location to park and meet? And a specific spot to crawl? I've actually never been this way. Only to Hanson dam and Vasquez rocks. Any help would be appreciated

I usually park on the street so it is free. Big rock area near the jetty.

Sorry today's a no go for me. But please tell me how it is when u guys get out there. Will you guys be interested in making some type of weekday gtg? Weekly or maybe like bi-monthly? We can maybe check out all the different areas to run our rigs throughout Southern California? Or we can keep it at cdm with random mixtures of spots? Weekends with the big groups are nice but I've always looked for something smaller on the weekdays with less people in general around (outside distractions) nothing serious or deeply commited. Just a gtg to have fun, shakedown our rigs and test new parts and what not. Shoot the shit and enjoy our rigs without a million kids running around or what not (what usually happens on weekends)

It used to be like that (circa 2010) every Wed. 2-dark/beyond, shoot the shit, compare rigs, etc.

That's what I usually do unless I feel lazy or prone to breakage...

From the bench on the look-out to the sand is all great trails, some face the parking lot, some face the beach.

I heard they did in 09', but that you "couldn't" hold events there without a city permit which is like 800$ Minimum plus an insurance policy, etc.
Big Mess...not worth it for toy trucks. There are actually "rules", they should be in this forum somewhere, some of the rangers are cooler than others...

They don't usually harass you till you are blocking pedestrians, getting too close to the edge, etc. For the most part as long as there isn't like 20 people you should be good.
