Default DoubleD and ShaftD Pre-Sale

I've got the DoubleD's and the ShaftD's in production now. Should be ready in less then 2 weeks.

These are made of Delrin and are light weight.

This chassis was designed my RCC member Badd. It was driven and taken all the way to a 4th place finish at the Nats.

The Double comes with 2 side plates and a drilled Skid.
The ShaftD comes with just two Side plates. Reuses the Stock skid and links.

Alittle info on the DoubleD and ShaftD . I started working on these Chassis back in March of this year . The Chassis was made to be a TVP shafty Chassis . Then the OCM/Berg hit , I knew I had to adapt . I went back to the drawing board . Came up with the DoubleD for the OCM/Bergs . Here is the OG hand cut chassis (Alum.)
The first production run plates and skid .
After alot of testing from myself and and TEAM DoubleD we made the shock mounts alittle longer . Also added some other upper link mount holes . Giving more adjustments to the Chassis .
The Chassis has worked well for me . I end the SERCRC season in 2nd place even though I miss 2 events . I place 4th @ the 2008 CKRC Nationals . I have placed in the top 5 with this Chassis but 1 time this year . (9th)

Thanks Badd for posting those Build Threads.

Also to let everyone know... The ShaftD is for the Axial. It's designed to be used with the Stock or AfterMarket Skids and braces.

Glad to see these will be available soon! The more I drive mine, the more I like it! The usual problems I had of hanging up on the driveshafts and skid are a thing of the past with 3.5" of belly clearance. And with the chassis plate available without a skidplate, it leave you several options for skids and link placement. I use a R2D in mine so I have a narrowed skid (2.75") that allows me to bolt the sideplates to the transmission, and have a smaller area to drag. I have my bottom links triangulated.

Even with the high ground clearance, everything sits so low in the chassis, it feels planted on steep verticals and sidehills. The short sides on the ShaftD allow you to drop the body down. Everything I could think of that would make a great performing rig, Badd built into the DoubleD ShaftD. Two thumbs-up!

And, check out the video of the near vertical climb with the nasty break-over! I'm not getting hung on my driveshafts and skid with this kind of ground clearance.

Thanks CBR... I will also have a 2.75in Delrin Skid. That'll be blank for set ups like yours. So guys can drill it to fit any Tranny. The sides will still be drilled for Chassis Plates.

Jeez...That would have saved me alot of work. I'm gonna need one of those since I can't drill straight.

For the Guys using an R2D a 2.75" skid will be perfect! As for the other transmissions, I haven't tried them. I think the stock width skid would have to be used with the Axial trans and whatever flavor of dig used because the spur gear clearance. Badd has tried it, I will let him answer that one.

ya the 2.75in Skid would be used for R2D's and the new HR Alumn Tranny. If anyone uses the Stock Tranny will have to use the Stock Skid or an aftermarket skid for an Axial.
