| Another Great Ebay Score . . .
Check this out everyone, I just scored this great deal on ebay for $285 I got all this : NEW Reign Products J2-TT chassis complete with TLT-1 servo / link mount plates (Retail $74.99) NEW TLT-1 Kit, obviously used for crawler axles. Spare stuff kept new in box. (Retail $$) - Axles locked with JB Weld NEW RC4WD R2 Transmission (Retail $74.99) NEW Proline Moab 2.2 Tires NEW RC4WD Super Narrow 2.2 Beadlock Wheel Set (4 wheels); Silver. (Retail $109.99) NEW Traxxas #5319x Aluminum Pushrods - Red (2) x 2 sets (Retail $20) NEW Traxxas #5539x Aluminum Turnbuckles - Red (set) (Retail $30) Aluminum T-MAXX Shocks, Springs (used from donor) included. They are slightly modified, need to have the ball joints converted on top, per instructions for J2-TT I added it all up at almost $500. Lucky me!! Build pictures to come this week!! Question . . should I go scale or stay 2.2 comp? You all be the judge! |

I say scale if you have the patience and already have a comp rig! If you don't have a comp rig and want to compete, do either! I have been enjoying those the most (watching the builds at least). I think by summer or so I might start a scale build, but I will be switching my one set of TLT axles between them. |

The J2-TT is a comp chassis. I say go comp. Scale chassis are usually a ladder type chassis.

I have the exact same set-up. Go comp. j2tt is a comp chassis. You will need to put fuel tubing inside of the shocks to lower it and to limit articulation. Make it as light as you can. Assemble it Just like it says in the build sheet. Get an axial tranny, its lighter and smaller than a pede. Make sure you put loctite on the diff cover screws and keep your pinion angles in check. Its a good rig, still won't be cheaper than a scorpion by the time you make it roll. Good luck.

Comp it is then. I guess since I've built 2 supers and this will make my second 2.2, I guess the scale can wait.
