cause it would cost an ass load to get it to be legal in the states, and after all that, it would still have a motorcycle engine?

Screw fender benders, you could kick that thing and watch it roll. Would that even qualify as a chick car? |

It would be a hockey puck on the street. Think of the g-forces that you would experience if you hit or got hit by a full sized sedan or a truck. The smaller/lighter car will go flying. Note the mercedes keeps rolling forward. The smart car imatates a pingpong ball. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/684541...rt_crash_test/ Last edited by _BEN_; 01-24-2008 at 11:56 AM. |

But in the U.S. their size and weight may be a concern for safety. I dunno about the Tata but the Smart car is a joke. You can get a Honda Fit for a little more $$ and you get way more with similar economy. | |

$2500? For that? You'd have to pay ME to get in that thing.... I notice no mention of Zero-to-sixty times in that. And okay, so imagine that thing getting hit by an american or German sedan. Much like the smart car in the video. Now imagine it getting plowed into by a 4x4 Dodge Dually Diesel. They'd be able to bury you in a zip-loc bag. |
