Default RC mud bogging

I think that since rock crawling has taken off so much that it's time someone hosted an rc mud race. Real 4 wheeling has two asspects. Mud and rocks. West coast is rocks east coast is mud territory. Since i live on the east coast and love to mud bog rc trucks i was wondering if i hosted one would anyone come? Is it a good idea you think? The event would include a single lane of mud about 20 feet long getting progressively deeper as you go. Farthest along or shortest time wins. Each truck gets two runs. 1st one would include this running order: 1-2-3-4-5 second one would be 5-4-3-2-1 the average of each run is taken. That way no truck has an advantage.

The classes would be divided into ifs trucks i.e. maxx and usa-1, savage, lst's and what not, and solid axle i.e. clod, txt, tlt, twin, and the like.

we have mud on the west coast. Well at least the north west does. I think an RC bog would be a good idea. Mixed trail(hills, mud, rocks, side hills, water) like real wheeling would be cool too.

The topic of rc mudding has come up before, many different views on it. Most guys said they would hate tearing everything down at the end to clean the crap out of gears and bearings, I'm with them.

i like the idea of instead of it just being a mud bog race thingy it could be more like Mixed trail(hills, mud, rocks, side hills, water) like real wheeling would be cool too.

i would do some hills, rocks and a little bit of water, but fawk a bunch of mud. I hated that crap with my 1:1 truck because it screws soo much stuff up.. let alone playing in it with my small crawler

I think its a good idea, massive paddle kongs, big horsepower, mud slinging...mmmm. I love mud races. I did some crazy mud bogging in my driveway once. Over here in south east new york we had a perty bad flood a few months back and a stream liquifyed my driveway into a waterbed. The coolest thing ever, i could jump on it and the driveway would flow in waves. Until a truck drove on it and sunk, it then was the deepest thickest mud ever and i was just burying that thing in the pit. So much fun just churning the mud. It was so think it would put a good load on the motor, with alot of gear reduction. The key to makin this a good bog is mud like that.

I agree with everyone else about the mixed trails. Mud is OK here and there, but I'd like to have other things thrown in like you would on a real 1:1 trail ride. A mud pit and then a creek crossing would be great to wash the mud off.

If I ever get the time I'm going to build a course out at my parents house back in the woods.

I do the mixed trail thing in my woods kinda. a little rock action in some shallow water up to a side hill then a turn onto a loose steep hill. Then it's a bunch of roots. Across a side lawn then into the woods again crawling over fallen trees and branches. Havent run it in a long time because I broke my maxx almost as soon as I had it running.

I'm not sure about throwing rocks in there. Maybe a few creek crossings but around here the rocks are far from the mud.

I just thought of the perfect mud racing course. I`m in FFA in high school and raise some pigs out at the FFA barn and one of my buddies pens is right next to mine. now we`ve had some good rain lately and the pigs have made some really kick a$$ pig sh!t mud holes (complete with actual pig sh!t ). Since our pens are side-by-side, if we opened up the gates on each end of both pens, we`d have a great oval track rc mud pit, with his pen being the tame start and mine being the real killer with one nasty 5 foot by 5 foot snot mud hole at the end . I`ll have to try it when my X Factor is done.
