Default Anyone got RC Boats?I am a virgin and wanna have fun!!

I have the perfect lake near my house so I thought a why waste the opportunity ...by cheap I mean not over $150 ,RTR...any ideas would be very welcome!!!!!
I am sure that we wont be into it so much as crawling but my daughter might love terrorizing some ducks around the local lake in the summer!

Have you thought about a sail boat? Speed boats by themselves get boring after a short while but sailing takes some skill it's kind of like crawling in a way.

Like Stormin said, speedboats get boring quickly. You need one with speed to make it fun for more than 5-10 minutes.

The only 2 RTR models worth looking at are the SuperVee27 and Blackjack26. Both are around $280, but worth it. Their out of the box 30mph speeds make them more enjoyable.

I checked some info and the Super Vee 27 Nitro got slightly better reviews and has a similar price ...but I no experience with nitro...its a glow engine right>
Also I might check my LHS here in Osaka because sometimes they surprise me with super low prices on some less known brands such as RC Square Sustain and ABC hobbies ...got an interesting 1/18 4x4 hobby grade truck off them new once for under $60 RTR pretty good too for that price ..tons more fun than a Micro-T Losi for less then half the price...Actually if anyone interested in those Square Sustain RC trucks ...I will make a thread on them soon...
Thanks for the boat info!!!
