That is why I asked Jason first if I could put his logo in my paint scheme before I did it.

Two very good points.

Large companies often don't even bother going after "the little guy". In the end, it's not worth thier time or money, and in some cases it even helps build thier brand to have people making items using thier name or logo.

And as Xtreme said, selling decals is directly effecting Jason's business. Sure - Toyota may not care that someone is making RC items using thier logos, even if they might not have permission - because in the end, it does not effect Toyota's sales because it is not a competing product. But Jason does indeed sell decals, and someone buying these on eBay takes away from Jason's potential sales.

Jason said for the little bit of change you collect that it doesn't matter! It's not the original like his. Just a KNOCK OFF!

That's not really a competitive market, but I'd double check if I were you, just to be sure. Hey - that's free advertising

I don't care how big or small a company is, if you are using copyright material without the permission of the owner of such copyright, you are in the wrong. Even if it is used on a product that does not directly compete with the product sold by the copyright owner. If anyone is using the logo's of larger companies such as Toyota, putting them on their crawler products to sell for profit and not getting permission ahead of time, they are in the wrong. What's interesting is that some of the vendors that are doing this, have copyrights on their own material and I bet would be upset if someone used their copyrighted material without permission.

This is between RCC and the seller on ebay.

Anything we say...doesn't really matter.

If Jason's lawyer is on it, that's good enough for me.

No need to sit and debate a matter in which we aren't involved.

Nothing wrong with debating the matter. It educates the uniformed.

It also leads to things getting blown out of proportion.

Funny people think its OK for TCS to sell those rings...I doubt they paid for the licensing rights for those marks. Especially when Tamiya dropping the Chevy Clod grille and RE-TOOLED (a very costly process) to not have to re-license (obviously more costly than re-tooling).

I'd love to be proven wrong, however I'm doubting they went through the proper avenues to pay for licensing of a copyrighted logos.

I also point this out since they have a lot of patent pending products. They likely have legal counsel on patents and trademarks.
