| Holmes Bikes/ tom foolery
With any free time I have, I have been acting a fool. I won't give up any secrets on the build yet, except that it is 22 pounds at most, runs a 6s a123 pack (1p), goes about 10mph on the flats, and gets around a mile of range on 2 amp hours. The only downside is that I need a bit of a push to get the rig going, as the motor system is non sensored brushless DC and I have a ton of load on the motor. The beast.... oh yes, it also wheelies like a beast and has thrown me off the back a few times. 3000w continuous, 5000w peak. If any officer asks it is 300w.

I will get one up, the sucker is barely visible underneath me. First I need to put brakes on it. Since the rear is a coaster brake it just coasts. I figured I would get it running before I worried about stopping |

| Had to be to get enough reduction. My first three attempts didn't give it enough geardown to haul me up the steep hills without stalling the motor. It was probably my batteries fault though, I found a bad cell in the pack tonight. I didn't want it any faster anyway. A better question is why not. I had the parts, I made the time, I have wanted an electric bicycle for a long time. I couldn't get the pedal part on there too, so I just made it a motorcycle. The total conversion cost is under $350, and is worth more than that with the laughs I have gotten already. The next project will be a larger bike with a 3 or 4 speed gearbox. I haven't seen any electric bikes with gears yet. I would love to have 30mph top speed on flats with a 5mph hill gear for max runtime. |

I want kids one day, so no I have not. It is rough enough tooling around my yard. I have thought about it though. If the front wheel weren't so wobbly I might give it a shot. |

Here are some more recent ones. I just snapped the one where she is on the red carpet. She has been getting a lot calmer lately. We just have to work on keeping her calm when I have guests. Otherwise she is very obedient and doesn't tear stuff up. If she gets her nose into a pillow she will tear the stuffing out though. About 60lbs now, I switched her back to dry kibble and leave the bag open so she can gain some extra weight. So far the only fat she has in in her teats. The best part is that I can direct her around now. I tell her to go downstairs, she does. Get up on her couch blanket, get off the couch, come sit in front of me (front), and other commands are coming along nicely. I don't even use treats or anything. My moms Welsh Corgi is as dumb as a bag of bricks and just as stubborn as compared to Gretel. That little corgi is an ornery little beast, and my mom has put 10x the training into it. |

She does cross her paws quite often. When she was having her first ester (doggy period) she was lying down with her front and rear paws crossed and her tail tucked between her legs too. It was quite cute and humble looking, but I wasn't quick enough to grab the pic. It is funny to see her with both front and rear legs all crossed up. | |
