It may not be the best crawler but it is a sweet rock racer and I would love to have it either way

This is the price of crawling going mainstream. We all knew stuff like this would happen. I think some of the benefits outweigh the negatives though. | |

lol, i know this is a little old, but there is a thread over on the traxxas board about it. I made a not so "traxxas" remark about the video and man, steve got all sorts of mad. give it a read: http://monster.traxxas.com/showthrea...postid=2084963 I thought I was being nice. Chris |

You were being realistic and nice. I have gone round and round with SlayDaddy on many topics. He is a company man and will go to all ends to not make Traxxas look stupid. Unfortunately in this arena they are going to lose. I backed you up on the post. I am surprised that my login worked. I figured they cut me loose after the last go around. A lot of closed minds on that site. They are very strict and do not welcome outside of the box thinking from the forum members. I post many fixes and ideas regarding there products (without being rude or condescending) and they mysteriously got deleted. Funny because I still field a lot of questions offline regarding tuning and race setups. Let's see what Slay has to say. |

Slay seems like an ***. He sure isn't very tolerante of people bashing his project, wouldn't last 3 minutes over here.

I understand that when you are paid to represent a product you do so. He just isn't very tolerant of opinions. And you know the saying: Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. He would argue the color of the sky if you let him. |

they will back up thier claims at traxxas till the cows come home, even if the claim is slightly bogus. i posted very little over there because all i had were "hack job" tips that got deleted and frowned on. they seem to think that stock or aftermarket is the only way to run. no home fab allowed because it (of course) never runs as good as traxxas built products. i think that vid should be named rock racing, not rock crawling. it would fix the blunder. if one were to get a bashed up Revo, what would you do with it? the center diff and arm layout has excellent departure and aproach angles compared to a maxx style axle. I think that locked Revo arms would be better than the emaxx ones for crawling, but i havent heard of anybody trying it yet. $$ and time constraints keep me from trying. Too many projects going already!! Last edited by JohnRobHolmes; 07-13-2005 at 05:10 PM. |

S'ok. RC Car Action, home of that heathen, Kevin Hetmanski, once called the LST an incredible rock crawler. "The rocks are where the LST really shines..." Now I like the LST. Just not as a crawler. They did get the tires right though... |
