Question whats this jeep cj7 worth?

Hey guys
I've found myself a decent '86 cj7 the interiors a bit rough and it looks like the top leaks in spots but its got 96,000 original miles its got the 4 banger and the 4 speed what do you guys think this thing is worth? I have no idea and kelly blue book doesnt go back far enough (thats a 4" black diamond lift and 305/60??? tires)

They are meant to do that.


I'd say $1500-2000. It is in decent shape (assuming there is no underbody rust).

It might be worth that if it had a V8 and stronger tranny, but since you said it has the 4cyl...he's asking too much.

I paid 7,000 for my 95 YJ 4cy with 65 thousand on the ticker SOA 33's and lots of chrome He wants way way too much.

The tub looks pretty decent, check the underside of it really well and the rear portion of the frame for rot, and the mid section too. Around here I'd guesstimate it would fetch 4 - 5,000.

Definitely get under that frame and tub and look for cancer. The frames rust at about mid door on back. The right side pic looks like it's got mud in the tub from the fender through the rocker into the rear skin. It may be just the snow reflection too. It does look quite complete though. For sure lift the carpet and check the floors. $2500-3500 here in the rust belt if the frame is good. The engine looks like it was just gone through too. The block should be blue like the thermostat housing. The head dosn't match that blue. New or reman carb? Surprised the top leaks it looks fairly new.

Oh is it a Dana 44 or Corp 20 rear axle? Can't tell from the pics. 20 will have an Army helmet diff cover.
