this idea could fund RCC into the next millenium. all the pieces are already here, so i'll put 'em together for ya:

PITA of the week poll
messing with ILRCRC's user title
RCC needs cash...

the "winner" of the PITA poll will be the one whose user title goes up for auction the next week. RCC gets the auction funds and assigns naming rights to the highest bidder.

F'rinstance, let's say Badger wins the PITA poll this week. Next week, RCC holds an auction for the right to put whatever you want on Badger's user title. then all next week all of Badger's posts will say "flaming poo packer" or whatever (within the bounds of what passes for good taste on this site).

or you could just do an auction every week for ILRCRC's title.

i think that auction would be a great idea. if you want to you could put mine up ry week but that would get boring.

While this is a really good idea, how many of you guys would actually pay $$ to change my user title or the PITA's title?

wow, guess i'll have more P.I.T.A of the week polls then

but this is a pretty good idea..just depends on how many all would pay and would need to figure out a price?

but if 20 people put in cash to change Badgers title, how do we determine a winner, by a drawing?

the highest bidder gets to do it. all others get a big thank you from RCC for contributing to the cause! or the high bidder gets to do it last, after the others have had a chance to try and one-up each other. after a few rotations, ILRCRC would be a window-licking crack-crawling goat-blowing necrophiliac rectal-ramming knob-gobbling flaming poo packer, if he isn't already. god only knows what Badger would be, but i'll bet it's worse. be fun to find out, tho.

and how much money do you need to change a user title? even if you only get 50 cents, it's still 50 cents more than you had before. it's not like there's a great cost involved, except to the loser's pride (and we know what that counts for in here

)

in either case, the PITA poll just got more interesting.

What if, the money put in to bid on a name, was also directed towards the purchase of a star? So if someone consistently bid $5 they'd eventually purchase a star.

The only downfall is we're all lazy asses and wouldn't want to have to keep track of that.
