No, I do like the black album. I know a lot of Metallica fans don't, but I do. And Justice For All and MOP are my favorites period. At least this new album sounds a LOT better than that last one they made.

I was jamming to it most of last night and I picked it up today. I don't think it's as good as they're old stuff, but I do think it's the best since the Black Album. If you're biased towards their heavier stuff, then it's the best since Justice. I like the Black album and think it's better than Death Magnetic, despite not being heavier. What can I say? I listen to a lot more than just metal. That said, my favorite MetallicA albums would be in this order: Justice, Lightning, S&M, Puppets, Black Album, everything else, and then in dead last, Kill 'Em All. I know purists thinks that's blasphemy, but I can't stand most of that album. I do LOVE Lightning - Justice though, and I consider it to be some of the very best music ever made.

nicely said man! I do love metallica, I have over 6.7 Hours of metallica on my ipod, the most of one band on my ipod. Metallica is my favorite band, what can I say?!

This new album isnt too bad, now that I have finally heard other songs than the main 2.

I would have to say that the order of my favorite albums is this:
1. And Justice For All
2. Ride The Lightning
3. Load
4. Black Album/ReLoad (tied)
5. Garage Inc. (For a Couple REALLY good songs)
6. Death Magnetic
7. Master of Puppets
8. Kill 'em All (wasnt too big of a fan of this one)

Also, someone was saying jason died after he left? Are they serious, or do they just mean musicly??? I personally thought Jason was one of the BEST members in Metallica

"So What" is the title of the song. Furthermore while Metallica plays it at concerts it is not "their concert song". "So What?" is a song written by the British punk band the Anti-Nowhere League.

I think Jason Newsted was good and better than anyone tested after him, however Cliff Burton is easily in my eyes the most talented bass player ever.

If I were to give a list as done above...
Ride The Lightning
Master Of Puppets
No Life 'til Leather (Because of Mustaine's guitar)
Garage Days Re-Visited (the original, not the new POS)
And Justice For All
Kill 'Em All
Black Album
Garage Inc. (if you own the original, this is pure trash)
Load
ReLoad
St. Anger

In my opinion they have only been getting consistantly worse. Like a bad sitcom they should just quit while they are ahead.

Kinda like the 'Stones. Sometimes its better to go out with a bang that fizzle out.

I give it 6 out of 10. kind of has an "old-school" sound to it mixed with the wierd guitar sounds of Load thru St. Anger. Really dig the first track.

But it's a huge improvement over St. Anger. That album is almost completely un-listenable. It's just garbage. It sounds like it was recorded in somebody's basement, and it's like they weren't even trying.

And a Metallica Album without any guitar solos is just wrong. :-(

I'm a huge fan of the black Album, but just because when i was growing up, that ALL you heard on the metal stations around here.

For musicality and just ultra-hard-core metal perfection nothing beats MoP. NOTHING... by ANYONE.... ANYWHERE!!!!

justice was an awesome album. i have always considered ita mixture of prog rock with thrash. it truely is a piece of art.

this new disc is oooook. it's kind of like the bud light with lime, it's tastes a bit better than bud light, but in the end, it's still bud light....

i personally think the new slipknot album is better, though...
