| Live Chat via IRC
Hey everybody, myself and a few others have set up a chat on an IRC server that we use for Crawler specific chat It is a live chat system where you can go to bs with some people in the industry, ask for immediate help for those middle of building your rig questions, or anything else that is crawling related. Our intention is to keep this channel open 24/7 and to hopefully have people from all over the country and world utilize this. For those of you that know IRC and have a client already, here is the server and channel info: IRC Server: 65.98.30.138 Port: 6667 Channel: #rc_rock_crawling For those of you that are not familiar with IRC, you can easily login using this process without having to download anything or setup a client: First go to http://www.mibbit.com/ There is a window in the top left of the screen titled "IRC". In that window you will want to click the server link. This will bring up a text box called 'Server address' for you to enter the server info. Copy and paste this in that window: 65.98.30.138 Then go to the text box that is titled 'Nick:' enter your desired nickname. Next go to the box that is titled 'Channel(s)' Enter this: #rc_rock_crawling Make sure you include the # symbol. Click go. It will take you to a new screen with tabs in the upper left. One will show up that is a bunch of numbers, you do not need to bother with that one. Wait a few seconds, and another tab (tab #3) will pop up with the title #rc_rock_crawling. Click that tab, and you are there.. Pop in and check it out, hopefully this can grow into a really fun/useful tool for all of us |

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but is there still an interest in an IRC channel? It doesn't look like the one mentioned here is still up.
