| When it's cold outside.
What to do when it's cold outside. Learn to fly a tiny helicopter. This is my first attempt to ever fly anything. E-Flite Blade MCX. DX5e. Lipo 1s 3.7v 110mah. Easy to fly and fun. Baby steps to fly it's bigger brothers one of these days. Last edited by bbyrd22; 11-22-2008 at 09:07 PM. |

When its cold outside I start on my scale stuff. I get out of the comp mood and into scale mode. I have been on a roll the last few days and got a lot of stuff knocked out. It is going to be a busy winter for sure. Plus the Rock Force will be here soon. We will see what this thing is going to be like |

Fun little bird, but I have a hell of a time getting the batt out of the charger. No room to grab it. |

When it gets cold out, you grow a set, put on another layer or two, and go outside! If that copter was 1mm bigger it would be too big for your livingroom/bedroom/kitchen. |

When I first turned mine on with my Dx6i (had the self centering mod on throttle stick), it just spun up and start hovering from my desk....stable as it could be...handsfree. I was like aw crap . I have now tweaked the Throttle curve to be 0% at 50% throttle. I don't have as much throttle control since I don't have the full range as normal throttle movement, but it will do anything that I ask for it.

I love mine, its great for anoying the kids (or pets). Insanity to fly if the vents kick on inside, goes all over the place...same as outside in any breeze.

Yeah these are a blast. I have been flying mine every night for over a month. It gave the confidence to fly the CX2 more and I have been having a great time with that too now that I can fly somewhat. Enough confidence to fly over water (pool) most of the time. My confidence level is now about 6 feet lower than yesterday. The same distance I had to pull the CX2 out of the pool. |

Just got one of those MCX's in a trade. Who hooo this things are fun! The dog stays away enough for me to scold her if she puts her nose around it, and i have been getting used to helis again too. Picked up an extra battery, and the downtime is minimal. The stock charger charges at 2.72C rate, so I do the same on my hyperion charger. After some investigation I realized that the stock charger was overcharging the packs to 4.22 volts, not too bad, but enough to slowly wear out the battery I bet. Once I master this thing (almost done already) I may venture back into the heli world. Nahhh, who am I kidding, I am a crawler through and through. This thing is a breeze to fly and keep keeps me calm. NOrmal helis make me wet my pants from terror. |

Take the tape off before you fly, or it will screw with your CG and AUW.
