Interesting segment... I think most of my "customer service" calls are on par with that one... |

They tried the same thing with me and their computer showed I had not sign on with them in or a year. I think it took me a total of 30 minutes or so until he gave me a conformation number for the service stopping. Finally no more AOL.

I am dreading canceling my last XM unit. The first one I canceled went a little like that. I guess they have to ask you a certain number of times or they are not doing their job. I am thinking about just closing my bank account instead because the payment is automatic |

The XM was still on in our GMC from the previous owner, but with the Sirius/XM merger, they must have figured it out because it's off now. We'll wait until our next road trip before turning it back on. That AOL vid is a few years old, but still brings back nasty memories about when we canceled our service with them. |

Cancel your AOL? You know if you have your own internet provider, AOL is free. And any AOL account can be shut down through your account billing without talking to anyone. Hope I just missed the joke here or something. |
